The Mana Arc

Power is not for everyone. Certain power should not or can not be in everyone's hands. Everyone has power, but rarely the same kind of power. Babies hold power over their parents with their cries, teachers hold power over students with their authority, the list goes on. Some people shouldn't have some kinds of power, but as sentient species tend to do, they push this simple law of existence. And the aftermath is usually...disastrous.

Dr. Hein's Log: 5th of Frost Moon: Master Lore has approved my project! Finally! I had waited two months for him to review it. But now I have been granted the resources to carry out this project. A device that will catalogue and contain all the magical and spiritual energies from the Exo-Worlds. Systematically allowing anyone to use these magics. All there is to do from here is build the device and collect samples for it.

Dr. Hein's Log: 20th of Frost Moon: It's done, The Mana Ark has been constructed. Using a sub-altanion alloy I have built a small pyramidal structure that fits roughly in the palm of the hand. The process will be simple, once the energies have been sampled and stored, The Mana Ark will be surgically fused to the chosen subject to wield The Mana Ark

Dr. Hein's Log: 4th of Jinfen: The process was going smoothly until Master Lore decided to assign me to the Coleptera Cranium Project. While I am excited to experiment with a idea I had notes for after a long time, I must admit I will be thinking of The Mana Ark Project during the duration of this project.

Dr. Hein's Log: 31st of Dashesh: Ah, back once again. Project Brain Beetle was a resounding failure so I hope I can do better with this one. After some research it appears I have made a miscalculation with The Mana Ark, due to the nature of energy, mixing energies would result in a Galthian level event so The Mana Ark will have to be limited to only four energies. Compartments to keep four separate energies have been added. I would have wished for more but The Mana Ark is not big enough to hold more and work as intended. Now to figure out which energies to use...

Dr. Hein's Log: 4th of New Flame: I got it! The four energies I will sample into The Mana Ark shall by Exo-World 6-Beta's Gaia Stream, Exo-World 2-Alpha's Omni-Cron, Exo-World 5's Resonance, and Exo-World 36's Dark Aura. These four energies are on my list as they are by far the most versatile, allowing for the most use. The Gaia Stream is a external force that flows through Exo-World 6-Beta's world as well as it's people which can manipulate it to exert their will over the land and elements through the Gaia Stream. Omni-Cron is an internal power found in a select few of Exo-World 2-Alpha's inhabitants. The Omni-Cron works similar to a virus that allows people who can control the Omni-Cron to manipulate their bodies to morph them through genetic mutation, such as changing their hands to claws or other physical mutations. The Resonance is a force that resides only in living beings, the name deriving from the very soul of the being. The Resonance can be used to sense other living and even undead beings by a force to dissimilar from echolocation. The Resonance can also be used to enhance a persons physical abilities like reflexes and speed as well as heal minor to moderate wounds. Finally Exo-World 36's Dark Aura is by far the most destructive of these. Being a internal force that can be used to decimate matter, it functions like a commandable anti-matter, allowing the user to choose a target and if they have enough skill in controlling Dark Aura, completely eradicate the thing from reality. Master Lore even informed me any living being targeted by Dark Aura will be ripped apart in their current point in time and be pretty much erased from existence as according to him, it also affects them across the time stream, affecting every second of the person's life and wiping them out at every point in the time stream.

Dr. Hein's Log: 26th of New Flame: A breakthrough! Oh a marvelous one at that! After painstaking weeks the four energies have been sampled and contained in the Mana Ark. Now I just need to undergo testing for the right vessel for my glorious project.

Dr. Hein's Log: 30th of Homeward: FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE! All my selected vessels have failed to pass the trials. Exposure to even one magic foreign to a individual's Exo-World tends to have some negative effects. Usually nothing serious such as fatigue or minor respiratory issues so I decided to have my chosen subjects be exposed to each force one at a time and at first it went well, until we got to exposing subjects to several forces at once. One subject was exposed to the Gai Stream and Resonance and was forcefully torn apart from the inside out. Another seemed to suffer from the effects of the Dark Aura. Which is to say he was systematically wiped out from every second of himself in the timeline, truly a noisy thing to witness. A whole month wasted on failures. It seems organic beings are unable to handle several forces at once. But what about a bio synthetic being?

Dr. Hein's Log: 4th of Homeward: It appears I was correct. I created a bio synthetic golem I've dubbed Mana Ark Restriction Vessel, or M.A.R.V. I was quite pleased to witness M.AR.V survive all four forces at once. And a relief too. I was beginning to worry I'd have to ask Master Lore to approve a trip to extract samples from The World Golem to see if this was even a possible feat after all. But all that remains is too attach the Mana Ark.

Dr. Hein's Log: 15th of Spestest: IT WORKS! M.A.R.V has successfully been outfitted with the Mana Ark and has been shown to be able to use it with no visible side effects. Although M.A.R.V's use of the Omni-Cron is far more limited then ideal. Being bio synthetic must limit the amount the Omni-Cron can mutate due to M.A.R.V not being fully organic. But the result is passable. Master Lore will be most pleased.

Project: Mana Ark Implementation Notes: Master Lore has seen and approved M.A.R.V as meeting his standards for the project's outcome. M.A.R.V is to be deployed to end rebellions across Lubellion and to extract samples from dangerous places or entities such as The World Golem or the Dimension Valley.

HAHAHAHAHA! What a buffoon! Does he truly think that....TOY could be useful against one of the Thirteen Anomalies like The World Golem?

*Sigh* What is with you and letting information spill? My readers, limited as they are at the moment, are overloaded and confused as it is. Anyway, no dear readers...think long and hard on this. Was Dr. Hein wise to gift such power to a being? If a child was to suddenly have the power of the Prime Minister then what would happen? Doesn't seem to wise. But I digress, after Malumbrix's little...uh, slip of information I'm sure your curious as to who this World Golem is as well as what he means by Thirteen Anomalies. Well, that's too long to explain here. Maybe it'll be the next story. Or  maybe it'll come after week, or a month, or a year. Heh, you'll have to wait and see. And remember...stay tuned.
