Pandora assumed they were going to get the only girl in the Pouge's group of friends. Kiara Carrera was the only person Pandora would consider a friend, if that.

The girl would go out of her way to talk to Pandora, even if the green-eyed girl tried her hardest to push her away. It's not that Pandora didn't like Kiara, it's just that she was better off alone. She didn't need friends anyways, they always let her down in the end anyways.

So, when the boat pulled up to the Carrera dock, it was safe to assume Kiara was extremely confused on how the three boys got Pandora to stay in a boat with them without curling into a ball of panic.

Pandora watched Kiara hop onto the boat with the help of JJ. She also saw the extremely confused look she gave the boy once they made eye contact.

Instead of saying hello to the girl though, Pandora stood from her spot and went to grab her bag that JJ kept next to his legs, but just as her fingers grazed the strap, JJ reached down and picked it back up.

"You're not thinking about sneaking off now are you Knight?" He asked the girl who let out a huff of air tinted with annoyance.

They both knew that if she truly wanted off of the boat, JJ would let her, but sometimes she enjoyed the company of other people, even if John B was there, and she saw the smirk JJ had stained on his face and she couldn't help but want to stay.

Plus being on the water was one of her favorite things so she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "Of course not JJ, just trying to grab a book."

And as soon as the boat got far enough away from the dock that he knew Pandora couldn't make a runner, JJ dropped the bookbag in her hands and let her take out a book.

While the others got situated, Kiara walked over to the stern of the boat and sat down next to Pandora who was in the middle of grabbing a book out of her bag.

"Hey babes."

"Hey Kie."

And that was that. The girls said nothing else to each other, but it wasn't awkward.

While the boys talked quietly to each other, Pandora slipped her shirt over her head and her shorts off of her legs and then laid down on the front of the boat with her legs hanging over the side, water splashing up onto them as they coasted along.

Then she picked up her copy of The Maze Runner and opened it to page 156.

She noticed after a couple of seconds though that the three boys on the boat had gone silent, so she looked up from her book and a pink dust coated her cheeks almost immediately.

All three of them were looking directly at her with their jaws hanging slightly.

"Yes?" She asked, her voice wavering a little. Normally she can talk without stuttering, but when three attractive boys are looking directly into your soul it's a little hard to form correct sentences.

Her words seemed to snap all of them out of the daze they were caught in. Pope looked away with an ashamed look, John B coughed and looked back at the water ahead of him, but JJ only closed his mouth and walked closer to her.

Her breath stayed caught in her throat as JJ sat next to her head and grinned at her. Pandora felt like she couldn't breathe with him so close to her, so she just went back to her book.

"What are you reading over here Peter Pan?" JJ asked once he got comfortable.

Pandora made a face of confusion at the nickname, but she didn't question it.

"The Maze Runner.

And that was all she let out before going back to reading.

Her heart was going a bazillion miles per hour, and she would appreciate it if the boy next to her would just not be next to her.
