Chapter 11

"Yeah sure" I stand up and step outside. I try to push my main thought out of my brain. He walks out behind me and closes my bedroom door. He looks around to see if my mom or my dad or someone is around. It's just us.

"So..." he begins. "I've wanted to tell you something for a while now  but I haven't had the guts too. And I don't want you to feel pressured or weird. I need to get this off of my chest. I mean I don't cope under this type of stuff and-"

"Josh. Get to the point" I think there is a swarm of butterflies attacking my stomach right now.

"Right. I like you. A lot. I just wanted to know if it was mutual?" 

I stare directly into his eyes and put on a fake sad face, as though I feel bad. But in reality, my mind is buzzing. Josh Hutcherson has a crush on me. Out of all of the girls he could choose from, he chose me. 

"Oh no. I'm so sorry. Please just forget everything I sa-" I lean in and kiss him. No dare, no prom. Nothing. Just us. I want it to stay like that but I know it can't so I pull away.

"You're not the only good actor around here Josh" I smirk.

"Soo... is that a yes?" 

"What do you think?!" He kisses me and we walk back into my room. Maddie wasn't expecting us to walk in and she ended up on the floor at our feet. 

"Maddie where you listening to that entire conversation?" I ask, rhetorically.

"Ummmm... nooo. Liv why would I do that."

"Because you're nosy. I know you were listening"

"Fine I was. but can I say something?"

"Yeah what is it?" I ask

"FINALLY. OH MY DAYS I'VE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS DAY!"

"Maddie we've known Josh for 2 weeks."

"I KNOW BUT THAT IS WAY TO LONG OH MY GOD!"

"Alright Maddie I get it."

"Okay Okay. But I've already told Bella and Emma." 

"of course you have" 

Just then, my mom comes to my room and says, "Guys, time for dinner."

"Okay, I'll be there in a second mom" Lily and Maddie leave. I look at Josh and say, "Can I tell my mom and dad?"

"Yeah. Now?"

"Mhm. I just think it's a good idea to do it whilst you are here"

"Okay. Well lets go." He grabs my hand and we go down the stairs. I need to promise myself that this relationship won't end up the same as the other one. My body has finally started to go back to 'normal.' I don't even know what normal is anymore. All I know is that this, me and Josh, feels right. He lets go as we reach the bottom of the staircase, and we head into the kitchen. We sit at the table as my mom serves everyone. Josh is to my right and Lily is next to him. Maddie is to my left. My Dad, tío Fernandes and Manuel are opposite us, with my mom to the right of Lily. After we have eaten the Lasagne, I pluck up the courage to tell them.

"Mom.. Dad. I need to tell you something."

"Of course honey what is it?" My mom says

"I'm dating someone" Woah I didn't realise how nice it is to say it out loud.

"It better not be that Matt boy!" My dad says.

"No of course it isn't dad! Why would it be him?! No it's umm.." I don't know how to say it. Luckily Josh notices me struggling to say it so he chips in and says," It's me. Liv is dating me"
