[Ch 1.6] Adapting to Monster Village

After entering the village Rigurd guided us to a tent prepared for guest while Rimuru went somewhere else for now

Once inside, we waited for a bit before raw foods are given for us to cook it ourselves

After that we were left on our own

The trio immediately cooked their foods since they were starving from all that running

Shizu just sighed at them before cooking her own food aswell

Seeing her eating through the mask, I decided to ask "How did you do that?"

"... Experience" she simply said before going back to eating

'... Whatever, I'll just ask Rimuru'

Speaking of Rimuru, he entered the tent with Rigurd

The trio immediately looked at him with mouth still full of foods, Shizu still calmly eating, While I'm just sitting beside her smirking

Rigurd then introduced him as the leader and he did the "I'm not a bad slime slurp!"

Shizu is surprised while I just chuckle at them

He was also surprised that she would understand that reference, but then notices me not eating

"uhh? Why are you not eating?" he asked

Everyone then put their attention to me aswell

"Was the food not to your liking?" Rigurd asked worried

"No, I'm just not hungry yet" I lied, I just didn't want to eat food that aren't mine, besides i could photosynthesis

"I see..."

Soon, they all finished eating and began talking

It's all the same with the only difference at my introduction

"And this is V3, We found him on our first exploration" Kaval introduced me with my Adventurer's nickname due to me telling them that I would prefer to be called that for now

After that little meeting, we were free to go anywhere so I decided to go with Shizu

We walked around and sees the dwarves, goblins, and direwolves working together

We then found ourselves on top of the hill overlooking the village

"It's funny isn't it?" I started the conversation

"what is?"

"The humans called these guys as the monsters, and yet, they're more peaceful than some humans"

"You're right"

"... Shizu-san, what do you think of this world?"

"I don't like it..."

"Hmn..." I just hummed as i don't know what to say now

However, Shizu decided to overshare a little "I would rather be with my mother..."

'Crap it went that way!' I quickly hugged her from behind and apologized "I'm sorry if my question brought back bad memories"

I looked behind me and sees Rimuru just few steps behind us so I let go of her

"gasp~ Slime-san? how long have you been there?" my tone of voice is surprised as if i didn't notice him approaching

"uh yeah just now, I wanted to talk with Shizu-san here" I can feel some hints of jealousy in that voice making me smirk

"Ah is that so? Then I'll see you around later Shizu-san" and so I left them

Since tomorrow will be a big day, I decided to do some preparation

'Ifrit will appear and burn everything in this village causing Rimuru and the other to move away to their future location. I might need to fight ifrit aswell, is there anything I need to worry about?'
