When I found myself on the ground of that forest, lying in a pool of what seemed to be my own blood, I thought to myself, "Well, my day is off to a great start!" Or rather, it was more like a night, since the sun had apparently decided to take a break.


If I were to describe my condition, let's say I felt like I had been a punching bag for a high-speed train, then danced as a tightrope walker in a tornado before being launched into the open sea, only to end up here, in a situation really really strange (figurative language isn't my strong suit, but you get the idea). Frankly, comfort was nowhere to be found.


And the highlight of the show was that I had absolutely no recollection of how I had ended up in this mess. My mind was empty.

No memories, nothing!


And to top it all off, it turns out I had also forgotten the small detail of... what my name was, actually.

Now, let's talk about that forest. You know, the one where I had the honor of waking up.

It was shrouded in such deep darkness that even the stars seemed hesitant to take a peek. The trees stood like guardians, their branches intertwined above my head. The ground had decided to play a giant puzzle with leaves and rocks, as if it didn't care where I would be placed, bruising my back.
