Third Person's POV
Kamala's heart pounded so loudly. The beautiful scenery spread out below them, the horizon painted with the warm hues of the moon, but all she could focus on was the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her. The gentle breeze brushed her face, offering little comfort as she tried to steady her breath, her stomach fluttering with nervous excitement. And then, Hachiro's voice, deep and sincere, broke through the serenity, his words resonating with an intensity that left her utterly speechless.
It was a magical moment, one that Kamala had only dreamed of, yet now that it was happening, she found herself at a loss for words. The truth was, Hachiro had a way of rendering her speechless, his honesty and forwardness striking chords in her heart that she wasn't prepared to deal with.
Kamala felt her chest tighten as a mix of emotions surged within her—joy, fear, confusion—all battling for dominance. How could she not overthink everything when his simple confession stirred up so many unresolved feelings inside her?
"I'm sorry. Did I sound too forward?" Hachiro asked, his voice tinged with concern, as if he could sense her internal struggle.
Kamala let out a small, silent sigh, trying to wash away the overwhelming emotions threatening to overtake her. How could she explain what she was feeling when she didn't fully understand it herself?
"A little," she responded with a tentative smile, her voice soft, unsure. The uncertainty in her tone mirrored the uncertainty in her heart.
Hachiro chuckled lightly, the sound warm and endearing, but it didn't ease the turmoil in Kamala's mind. "To be honest, I want to see you so badly right now." Kamala couldn't help but laugh softly, a nervous laugh that barely masked the tension she felt. Hadn't he just apologized for being too forward? And yet here he was, doing it again with the same earnestness that made her heart race.
As the silence stretched between them, Kamala's thoughts spiraled further. Should she be honest with Hachiro about the turmoil raging inside her? About how his sweet gestures and tender words had taken up residence in her mind since she left his company? About how every time she thought of him, a warmth spread through her that she hadn't felt in months?
"Kamala?" Hachiro's voice broke through her silence, pulling her back from the swirling thoughts that had consumed her. Kamala stared into the distance, her gaze unfocused as she grappled with the decision she knew she had to make.
No. She wouldn't take him for granted. Hachiro had already saved her more times than she could count, pulling her back from the brink when she felt like she was drowning. If she was going to step into this relationship, she would give it everything she had. If this would be the last relationship she'd ever enter, she'd make sure it was one without regrets.
Kamala took another deep breath, steadying herself before she finally spoke. "You've been on my mind for a while now, Hachiro," she confessed, her voice soft yet resolute. She lifted her gaze to the sky, a small smile forming on her lips as she felt a weight lift off her shoulders.
She'd made her decision. She would give this, give them, a real chance. She would be more honest, more open, something she hadn't managed in her past relationship. Siguro dahil kulang sila noon sa communication ni Jay kaya nagawa niya itong lokohin, but this time, Kamala was determined to do things right.
"...oh." Hachiro's voice was filled with surprise, as if he hadn't expected her to be so forthright. "I didn't expect that kind of answer from you, Kamz."
Kamala couldn't help but laugh softly at his reaction, a lightness bubbling up inside her. "Ikaw lang ba pwedeng magsabi ng cheesy lines?" playful na sabi ni Kamala.
