Chapter 3

I hear George call for dinner and I wasn't hungry still so I stayed.
"You're not gonna eat?" Jackie says?
"No I'm not hungry." I say finishing up my homework.
"Well I'm glad to see you do your homework." She says as she walks out.
"Mhm." I said

I hear a scream and I ran downstairs.
I see a snake and Jackie's clothes ruined in spaghetti sauce.
"What happened!" I said
"Actually no don't answer that question I can tell do guys have to ruin a perfectly good meal like really now it's ruined how nice of all of you laughing it's not funny." I say as I walk upstairs to help Jackie.
"Jackie?" I say
"Leave me alone remember I don't want to talk to you!" She yells through the door.
"Yup okay." I say as I walk back into room. I lay down and read on my phone.
Cole walks in with two sandwiches.
"Bring mine back down I don't want it." I say
"Wow not even a thank you, rude." He says sarcastically.
"Fine. Thank you Cole for your service but I don't want it you can take it back downstairs." I say
"You can at least sound nice." Jackie says
"Yeah I'm so sorry I'm not as perfect and nice ok I'm so sorry." I say as I grabbed my camera and leave.
"Hey were you going?" Cole says
"On a walk." I say
"Hey wait I have a bad leg can you slow down please." He says
I turn around.
"Oh my bad I didn't tell you to follow me." I say
"Hey, don't act so tough cause your body language and eyes tell you everything I need to know about you." He says
"Oh really what do you know about me?" I ask
"I know that you don't like your only family you got and treat her bad, I also know that you have more problems than you know you got and also that you don't like socializing, you don't like a lot of stuff. You don't like when someone tries to help you or do anything for you!" He says.
"There is a lot more you don't know and stop trying to figure me out I don't need you or anyone I had myself my whole life and I only need myself." I said
"You might had only yourself in New York but you're not there anymore there people here that are tryin to help you. So let them!" He says
Tears are threatening to spill out of my eyes and they're blocking my vision.
"I'm so sorry I don't like having people near me it's such a change to have people not care about you my whole life and treat me like crap then move to a whole new place and have an amazing family care about me. I try really hard to not try and have a life that I had back in New York." I say as tears come out of my eyes.
"Hey, I'm sorry please don't cry." He says
"I don't know what to do anymore." I say
"Hey I have something to show you come on." He says.
"Um ok." I say
We walk outside and he shows me a horse.
Cole climbs onto a fence and he tells me to hand him a feeding scoop thing. He starts feeding the horse and it was actually kinda cute.
"You ride?" He asks me
"Um no but Jackie did in the 7th grade but she quit after she said she had too many extracurriculars." I say
"So your parents didn't ask if you wanted to?" He asks
"No I just did the bare minimum if I didn't have to do it I didn't." I say smiling.
"Or did you just not like horses?" He asks
"Not back then but I do know their like I don't know how to describe it it's just horses have a different type of beauty that no other animal has there nice sweet and kind. They are just I don't know."
"I need to teach you how to ride on day." He says.
"Maybe." I say.
"So does all of the family ride?" I ask
"Uh yea. I've been riding all my life and this is custard he's a beauty." He says smiling.
"Yeah you're right, but custard?" I ask
"Ok I named him when I was 6 okay, you want to feed him a little?" He asks
"Sure." I say as I grabbed the scooper thing.
I put the thing under custards mouth so he can eat and he just started to eat like how he did with Cole.
"I think he likes you a lot." He says
"I think I like him too." I say
Cole hops down to the grass and I feed custard some more. I started to pet custard and I could sense Cole looking at me.
"Hello gorgeous." I say
I look at Cole now and I guess my senses were right he was looking at me.
"Let me teach you how to ride right now." He says
"Not right now maybe on the weekends or something school has really tried me out and I have a lot to process."
"Ok but promise me I will be teaching you how to ride."
"I promise."
Now we're just looking into each other's eyes until Alex clears his throat.
"Erin's here."
Shoot I forgot he had a girlfriend.
"Ok that's my cue, see you later M."
Alex comes up
"He show you the horses?"
"No just custard but I'm sure there is more I'll see." I say
"Yeah." He says
"I have a question."
"Yeah." He says
"Is Erin and Cole dating?"
"No Cole doesn't date he just hooks up but this is the only girl that got to stay." He says
"Wait so they just don't date but are?" I say
"Well Erin thinks that she's the only one but we all no that's not true there's a bunch of other people who would-." I cut him off
"I heard enough I'm going to lay down my head hurts."

I was going upstairs from my drink of water when I saw Cole walking away from our door.
"Cole what are you doing?" I say
"Oh uh I found one of Jackie's boxes in the shed thing." He says
"Oh uh ok." I say
"Hey could I like get your number just in case something comes up and you need me or I need you situation." He asks
"Ugh yeah." I say
"Ok follow me." He says as I'm thinking he's leading me to his room.
"Just put your number in my phone, here." He says
I grabbed his phone and as I type my number in I can feel his eyes on me.
"Here." I say as we connected eyes.
He clears his throat.
"Goodnight M." He says
"Goodnight Cole." I say as I walk out.
