I woke up at 11. I must have not set my alarm. I groaned as I got up from the bed.

I checked my phone and Kosta had texted me.

Kosta: hey, you awake?

Me: sorry, I just woke up. Let's meet at the park.

Kosta: sure. Is...everything okay?

Me: yeah. Later.

I placed my phone on the nightstand and groggily walked to the bathroom.

I looked at myself in the mirror and winced at how horrible I looked in morning. I grabbed my toothbrush and brushed my teeth.

Taking off my pyjamas, I hopped into the shower and turned the nob.

I sighed thinking about how I was going to break the news to him. I love him and I care about him a lot but I also can't go against my mother.

Besides, I love my privacy and I love this place and I don't want to move out of this town. All my friends are here.

I still feel like my mom is overreacting. I mean, I'm not the only one dating at my age. What's her deal? She's acting like she was very innocent at my age but little does she know that my grandmother had told me stories about her childhood. And let me say this, my mom was not the typical good girl that every parent wanted. She bullied innocent children and started dating at a very early age. She stopped dating and started with hookups when she was 16. I'm not saying I want to follow her footsteps but I just don't get why she's going against the same things she did in the past.

Switching off the shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and stepped out. I dried my body and my hair and applied some lotion. I curled my hair and got dressed up to go and meet Kosta. I applied a little makeup and wore my shoes. After taking my phone and purse, I headed downstairs.

My mom was in the kitchen drinking coffee in her morning robe.

"Hey." I greeted. I was still pissed at her.

"Where do you think you're going?" She asked as she stared at me critically.

"Somewhere." I simply answered and grabbed a bowl to eat some fruit loops.

"Don't act all sassy. I know you're going somewhere but where exactly?"

"I don't want to argue with you this morning."

"Oh." She said with raised eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes and started stuffing my mouth with my breakfast.

"Because of Kosta_"

"Can you please stop? I'm breaking up with him. Happy?" I yelled at her.

"Quite. But don't use that tone on me young lady." She yelled back.

"I'm returning your energy."

"Are you guys still arguing?" Dad asked as he joined us in the kitchen.

"I'm leaving." I said with an eye roll and pushed pass my mom.

"Where are you going?" Dad asked.

"To break up with him. Isn't that what you guys want?"

"Honey, we_" I didn't let my dad finish his sentence. I closed the door and walked away from my compound, making my way to the park.

I started getting sweaty when I saw Kosta sitting on one of the benches, his back facing me. Mastering up enough courage, I walked up to him.

"Hey." I waved awkwardly.

"Hey. What's up with you?" He asked and shifted for me to sit.
I smiled and sat beside him.
