ADA'S MANSION
Elena gasps for air and wakes up. It's morning. Ada is sitting on the end of her bed, watching her. She seems confused about what is going on around her.
Elena: Ada?
Ada: Hey. I'm right here. You've been in and out for hours.
Elena: Wh-what happened?
Ada: You were in an accident.
Elena: Oh my God. Matt is he...?
Ada lets out a scoff
Ada: Alive? Blame Stefan the hero. When Jeremy brought you to the hospital before all this happened, your injuries were worse than anyone knew. Meredith Fell made a choice, she used Damon's blood to heal you. And when Rebekah ran Matt's truck off the road, you had vampire blood in your system, sweetheart.
Elena: Oh my God. Does - does that mean that I – am I dead?
Ada: Darling........
She hooks her finger under her chin making her look at her, she wipes away the tears falling from her eyes.
Ada: The only thing that's going to help is for you to feed and complete the transition. Look at this way, we can be together for enterity now.
She reaches for a glass of blood on the bedside table handing it to Elena who takes it and exhales slowly before lifting the glass to her lips completing the transition.
Ada: Good. Why don't you take a shower and I make you something to eat?
Elena places her hand on the side of her face touching her lips to hers in a slow gentle kiss
Elena: I love you
Ada: I love you too, darling.
She kisses her forehead before walking out of the bedroom.
SHERIFF'S STATION
Sheriff Forbes has just gotten out of her patrol car and is walking to the police station. Pastor Young stops her.
Pastor Young: Sorry, Liz, you're not going to work today.
Liz: What are you talking about?
The deputies surround the two of them.
Liz: What's going on?
Pastor Young: They're taking your badge. You're not fit to protect us anymore.
Liz(chuckles): Oh silly pastor, you know not what you're doing
Pastor Young frowns in confusion and his eyes widens in horror when Liz shifts into a smirking Loki.
Pastor Young: Demon
Loki: No I'm Loki; God of Mischief.
Pastor Young: Bah! Blasphemy!
Loki: Go on. Do whatever you were going to do. You're the one who turned your back on YOUR God. I think you know where you're heading, cunt.
He walks between him and the deputies.
ADA'S NEW MANSION
Elena and Ada are in the kitchen. Elena takes a bite of a sandwich and chews.
Ada: It's disgusting.
Elena: [with her mouth full] No it's, um...
Ada: It's disgusting.
Elena: Yeah, I'm gonna puke.
She spits out the sandwich into a napkin.
Elena: I never thought I'd be saying this, but I can't stop thinking about blood.
Ada: I'll teach you how to maintain the urges and the bloodlust better. (sighs) I didn't want this to happen
Elena: You didn't want me to be a vampire?
Ada: Yes but not like this. I wanted it to be your choice to spend enterity with me, sweetheart.
Elena: If Matt had died, what do you think I'll be going though?
Ada rolls her eyes pouring herself a drink and downs it in one gulp.
Elena: Ada, listen to me. That was the right thing. You've always respected my choice
Ada: I can't lose you. If I lost you, I would go back to what I was and I really don't want that.
Elena cups her face in her hands
Elena: You will never lose me.
Ada wraps her arms around her embracing her burying her head in her neck, Elena runs her fingers though her hair
Ada: Why don't you go back upstairs where it's dark? I'll clean up.
Elena smiles leaning up and pecks her lips
Elena: Hurry up and come to me.
Ada: I'll be as quick as I can.
Elena smiles as she walks out of the kitchen. Ada looks down at the counter and narrows her eyes creating a daylight ring out of nothing, she picks it up and pockets it in her jacket.
