It was night and I had just gotten out from a bath and decided to wear some of my simple pajamas
I faced the mirror and started drying my hair. I still couldn't believe that I was now starting to adjust to my new life here in Italy.
I came out of my bathroom and to my shock
I saw Marcus waiting for me, his eyes landed on me when he heard the door open. I blushed when I noticed that his eyes trailed down to what I was wearing, I shut the door behind me and smiled
"Do you need anything? " I asked. He smiles back and shakes his head
" no, I'm here to offer you if you want to go to the library with me," he asks softly and uses his vampire speed to be close to me. I blushed as his two large hands gently touched my forearms
" you look really beautiful, Mia cara," Marcus says.
I look up and meet his eyes, his eyes that stare at me with love and adorness. And slowly, his soft lips mine.
But I didn't fight back but instead let myself be lost in this ecstasy. Our kiss deepened as my hand slowly trails up in the back of my neck
gripping his hair as Marcus lets out a growl. I pulled away from him and felt my entire face turn red, he smiled. His eyes glistened with happiness
" I consider myself a very lucky man to have your first kiss," he says while smirking as I laugh, Marcus gently strokes my hair and places a kiss on my forehead. Pulling me with him out of my room
When the both of us arrive in his library, where he mostly spends his time.
He shuts the door behind him as I walk around the large room to look at the books on the shelves, I pulled one and it seems like a very old book.
Marcus lit the fireplace and we both sat together on the couch. I opened the book and began reading, page by page.
But I felt distracted because of his stare, I looked up and met his eyes on me again. couldn't help but not to smile
" why are you always looking at me like that? " I asked teasingly which made him laugh.
I noticed that of the three brothers, Marcus is the gentle and soft one, he's understanding and easily brings a smile to my face
" can't I? " he asks and raises his eyebrow at me.
We both laughed together and sat together in comfortable silence, after a while I found myself lying down in his chest while his arms were tightly wrapped around me.
I stared at the fire in the fireplace and felt his hand stroking my back. And slowly, I fell asleep
Marcus pov
I looked down and saw that she had already fallen asleep in my arms, looking peaceful and breathtaking. I placed a soft kiss on the crowning of her head and continued caressing her back
When Claudia came into our lives, I couldn't be happier that she was finally here with us.
All I could ever ask for is here, I've waited so many years just to have this moment with my mate
Peacefully and just us together. Now that Claudia is here, I promise that I'll protect her no matter what and show how much I care and love her
" I would do everything just to make you happy " I whispered
Since Didyme's death, my life changed after losing her, the light in my life vanished and she took it with her.
I forever grieve her death and still clinging to her soul. I once tried to find my happiness but in the end, I gave up trying
But now that my real mate Claudia has come into my life. It all came back, she's the reason for everything, and I promised her that I won't gonna let anybody hurt her or take her away from me.
If someone tries, I won't gonna have a second thought of killing them, painfully and slowly until they suffer
Everything about her is perfect. Whenever I see her smile, whenever I see those pretty eyes of hers.
My world just stops and I'll forever admire her as my mate, my everything
I'll show her every day how much I love her, and I will never gonna get tired of having her on my side.
I'll make everything happen just for her
" what is it, Demetri? " I spoke lowly, not daring to wake her up.
" I'm sorry to cut off your moment with the Queen, master. But King Aro and King Caius ask for your presence at the gates immediately " He explains. I let out a sigh and gently carried Claudia in my arms in a bridal style
She stilled up a little bit but still asleep.
" do you want me to carry her in her chambers, master? " Demetri offers and I shake my head
" There's no need for it " I replied coldly and he lowered his head.
When I arrived at her room, I carefully placed her down on the bed. Placing a kiss once again on her forehead, I look to her side to see a white lamb stuffed toy that she owns
I can't help but not to chuckle at the cuteness and decide to place it in her arms.
Knowing that Claudia was sleeping peacefully and safe, I left her room and made my way where I was needed
To my surprise I see my brother's ex-wives crying in front of them while Felix puts their bags in the black car. Vampires can't cry, but if there's a chance we do. I bet these two woman will get crazy
" p-please aro! I'm begging you, I don't want to go! I can treat you better! " Sulpicia cries and falls to her knees in front of Aro
" I don't need you anymore Sulpicia," he spoke coldly and tried to take her hands off his legs.
She stood and looked at him angrily, the anger in her eyes burns
" she's inside the castle, isn't she? I can go there in a second and rip her heart out, Aro " She threatened
I was gonna take a step back until Aro let out a dangerous growl and wrapped his hand around her neck. Choking her to death that crack begins to form, and her eyes widen in fear
" never fucking insult my mate in front of my face. Go and leave! You are lucky that I gave you and Athenadora a chance to live your pathetic lives! " He growls and throws her in the ground.
Caius rolls his eyes as the two women cries
" Felix, take them out from my sight " he spats. And Felix did what he said, but before Athenadora got inside the car, she glared in Caius's way
" Remember this, È dentro quel castello, so come voi tre la proteggerete. Ma fai attenzione, potrebbe esserci un momento in cui la vedrai, stesa sul pavimento con una pozza di sangue, morta! "
(She's inside that castle, i know how the three of you will protect her. But be careful, there might be a time where youll just see her, lying in the floor with pool of blood, dead!)
