Chapter 04

Y/N's POV:

The rest of the evening was filled with everything good - food, weather, drinks, the nostalgic talks of Mr. Jeon and Mr. William, except for one thing- The marriage proposal with Jeon Jungkook.

"We will be having the wedding in 10 days," revealed the old business friends while grinning happily. What? 10 days? It's too soon. Before you can voice out your thoughts, your dad, Mr. William dragged you out of the place, bidding farewell to everyone.

You tried talking to your dad in the car, on your way back home, but he has got something more important to discuss with someone on the call. More important than taking his one and only daughter's opinion while giving a word about scheduling her marriage in 10 days.

Your dad was always like this. He is open to exchanging thoughts/opinions while discussing with anyone, except you. He never took your opinion for anything. Even when it is something that belongs to you. He just did what he wanted to do. This disappointed you many times, but this time, instead of disappointment, you are feeling something else. Angry to be exact. Angry that he didn't tell you who/why you are meeting in the first place. Secondly, not taking your opinion on this marriage. Thirdly, not asking  if you were okay to get married in 10 days. Marriage is definitely a big step in anyone's life. Every girl dreams of having a perfect marriage. You dreamt of that, too. Having your loved one's by your side, your best friend and if possible your mom. Your dad and mom taking care of everything and feeling happy about you, celebrating happily for your next big step of your life with so many memories seemed like a perfect marriage to you. But now, the thought of  perfect marriage seemed like a happy dream to you. A dream that will always remain a dream.

You reached home with an ocean of thoughts running in your head. After entering the hallway, your dad was ready to say good night for the day and leave to his room.

"Dad, I need to talk, " you requested him. He simply sat on the couch by uttering, "What do you wanna talk"?

"Dad, I don't want this marriage. I'm not ready to get married. That too with Jeon Jungkook, no way. Please tell the Jeon's that I apologize for breaking the proposal" you finished.

"Did I ask you for your opinion? I thought you are smart enough to know that my decision is final in this house? Jungkook is my son-in-law and you will be getting married in 10 days. No one's gonna change that. Now if you allow me I have many things to do tomorrow, let me go and take rest" your dad started walking away while looking at you with an irritable face.

"But, dad-"  before you can start, "Good Night,Y/N" your dad went straight to his room and closed his door harshly.

It's your fault to think your dad will understand. You've always been there in such situations before but everytime such situation happens again you have a stupid hope that your dad is gonna react different than before by listening to you, acting kind to you and caring for you. Yet again, It's stupid of you to think that way. You're Stupid.

The next morning was one other day that follows your routine. You didn't have the mood to have breakfast today. Keeping all the last night thoughts in your mind, You decided to get ready quickly and head out to your office to divert yourself. While you are getting down the stairs, you heard your dad talking to someone happily. By the time you reached your hall he is done talking. You simply uttered bye dad and started moving out but your dad stopped you.

"Jungkook will be joining you from today. Explain him everything. It will be better if he gets to know everything before getting married so that he can look after everything from the next day after your wedding." your dad informed proudly.

You wanted to tell him you don't want to do this, but, It's not an information. It's an order from your dad. The last night, he already made clear that he is the only decision maker in this house so your opinion doesn't matter to him at all. Nothing changes even after your voice out your opinion too.

Without giving any reaction you simply walked out of your house and headed straight to your office.

Jungkook's Office:

Everything that happened yesterday felt like a dream to him. He never thought he can take a big decision in his life within a day. He was excited and nervous at the same time. He still remembers the shock he saw on Y/N's face when he told yes despite her asking him to tell they were not okay to get married. A smile plastered on his face while remembering everything. But, soon his smile faded away while coming out of that box. Yesterday, He told an yes  just to piss off Y/N at that time(the thing he enjoys doing everytime). But this time, it's not a silly thing. It's about marriage. His simple yes means spending the rest of his life with her. Was it a wrong decision?

His thoughts were interrupted with a knock on his door. It's Jung Hoseok/Hobi. His Personal Secretary/Friend. After jungkook let him in,  "Jungkook, there's someone waiting to meet you. He told he knows you well and he has something important to discuss. He doesn't have an appointment too. I asked him to leave but he insisted me to inform you that he has something important. I've never seen him before. It's not about business, he told it's something personal" hobi informed.

Jungkook asked hobi to let him in.

Jungkook was confused who's gonna talk to him about something apart from business. He was eager to know who that person is and what he wants to talk.

Soon a man in his 20's entered his office. He was a complete stranger but somehow he seemed familiar to Jungkook. As if he saw him somewhere before. And suddenly something strikes his mind. The article that came out few days before where the headline reads Y/N Benjamin's Secret Boyfriend? in which he saw a picture of Y/N and a man.

That man was him. The one standing in front of Jungkook.
