Chapter 16

Jungkook's POV:

The sun peeking through the shades directly attacked my face, waking me up from my sound sleep. I groaned, covering my face with a nearby pillow, trying to go back to my sound sleep, but I couldn't.

As soon as I sat down, my fingers ran through my hair, my head hurting like shit, Did I drink last night?

I remember nothing about the past evening, apart from telling Y/N to go home and joining Jimin and others for a private party at Jimin's.

How did I end up at home?

While I was busy in my thoughts trying to recollect about everything, scratch that, anything that had happened last night, my phone buzzed, interrupting my thoughts.

It's Hobi.

"Jungkookah, are you on the way? we have a meeting in 2 hrs, remember?"

Shit.

I quickly got ready and headed to the office within the next 45 mins. Hobi handed me over the important documents that I need to check for the presentation before I step inside my cabin.

As soon as I opened the door, there's Y/N, dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, looking at the documentation. She looked stunning, and I couldn't take my eyes off her. After a few minutes, she glanced at me, "Welcome, Sir, you're so early," she uttered, mocking me for my late arrival and moved her eyes back to the documentation the next second.

A huff left my mouth as I was walking towards my chair that was right next to her. I grabbed one of the files placed on the table to quickly get a glimpse of all the main points we would be discussing in the presentation. Soon after she's done with the documentation, she moved forward to grab another file that was placed on the table right next to me, filling my nostrils with her sweet perfume. I kept glancing at her even after she's done grabbing another file and started looking at it. " Nothing is written on my face. You need to go through the documents, "she uttered without even sparing a glance at me.

How did she know I was looking at her?

We marched towards the conference room a bit early along with Lily and Hobi to meet and greet Mr. Kevin Nevada, the head of K&N Industries. Soon after we shook our hands, he extended his hand towards Y/N for a handshake. Soon after she extended her hand, he grabbed it and held it for a bit more than expected while giving her a flirtatious look after pulling out of the handshake.

Was it intentional, or did I see it wrong??

I did hear about him but never got a chance to meet him. Though he is one of the youngest CEO's in the country, there were many scandals he got involved into but none of them were proven till now. They might be or might not be true, and such kind of rumors never bothered me or made me judge the person right away. Also, being a CEO myself, I understand how people try to bring you down sometimes by creating such baseless rumors. But still, being smart plays a vital role here. I would never want to put my company at risk by partnering with someone who might ruin the name and fame that I've established. Observation is the key here, and I would always do that no matter what.

I've started the presentation soon after our meet & greet. I did talk about each and every point, the pros and cons of it, the strategies to achieve it, etc..,
This is not the first time I have been giving a presentation or discussing business. I know exactly what kind of topics people would like to highlight or hear about.

"Any questions, Mr. Kevin?"I enquired soon after I'm done highlighting all of my points.

"Uh, Y/N, why don't you also give me a brief," he uttered while looking at Y/N.
