A stirred heart

Joe's POV

I was really hungry after eating the pizza and having two cupfuls of wine. I was about to dig into my Mother's pounded yam and melon soup when she told me to call Sultana downstairs. I reluctantly went to her room's door and knocked.

No answer

I heard her singing. My heart was drawn to the song and before long, I was tearing up.

How?!

I left telling my mother that she didn't answer but something in my heart was stirred. Mum put Blessing on her back when she started to sleep and fastened her with some cloths. She went herself to bring Sultana downstairs to eat. She did so successfully. I tried my best to stop giving her glances while we were eating. She seemed unhappy to be eating.

What is this feeling?!

I was almost convinced to open the big dusty Bible in the library. Almost.

Grace's POV

I opened the gate when I heard someone knock. I found Joanne and John there. Joanne fainted.

Lord why?

She's surprised that you are alive.

How is she?

She is saved. She is now my daughter.

Thank you Lord.

We took her to the hospital. After she was revived, we went to her home. I sat in the living room with John. He asked me some questions about me being alive and how I felt and others.

Then, I felt my eyes burn seriously. John said my eyes were glowing. I went to the nearest mirror. I knew it was just around the corner because I had stayed in the house when I was living as Joanne.

Indeed, my eyes were glowing.

"Jesus, what should I do?"

Send your prayers in the Holy Ghost.

I shut my eyes and began to connect myself to Jesus then, I began to pray in tongues. I saw different visions. I saw chains around John's heart. I saw ropes around Joanne. I continued praying. I saw demons everywhere. I saw sicknesses flying around. I only saw few angels. One each on both sides of me. I saw my brother, Joe infested with different demons. He was tied with thick ropes. He had chains on his hands and feet. He had wounds all over his body.

I prayed for them. My heart was pouring out prayers in the spirit.

Open your eyes Grace.

I opened my eyes. Joanne was standing nervously beside me.

Hold hands and pray.

I held hands with her. I felt my strength going out of me into her hands but, I felt Jesus' presence. It gave me more strength. Joanne was vibrating. I saw the ropes around her catch a flame. Flames were flying around us. It consumed the demons around us and those that tried to escape. The ropes that were tightly wrapped around her body began to burn. Soon she was free. She began to cry. She was vibrating. Flames were on her body. Some went into her body.

Healing. I am healing her.

Soon, I felt someone join us.

Open your eyes.

I saw John holding hands with us. He joined us and he began to pray in tongues.

Touch the chains around his heart.

How Lord?

Touch his chest.

I touched his chest. He became silent then started to gasp. He fell on his knees and started to cry. The chains melted. His heart which was shrinking under the weight of the chains got it's colour back. I had tears of joy in my eyes.

I knelt down and waved to glorify the name of Jehovah.

There is one more person who I still need to touch through you. That is your brother.

Yes, Lord. Let your will be done.

I stood up. Joanne was lying on the floor still crying. I pulled her to sit and told her that she was healed. She wiped her tears.

"I'm leaving now. Bye."

"No. Wait. I have to give you food for visiting me."

"Don't worry. I'm in a hurry to go now. Bye."

"I'll bring it to your house tomorrow. Just because it is late o."

I laughed. Joanne never gets discouraged.

I practically ran home because of how the pictures of Joe's state kept popping up in my head.

When I got home, I saw Joe sitting on a bench outside. I sat beside him after greeting my parents. He had a distant look in his eyes. When he noticed that I was just next to him, he was startled.

"Sultana, how have you been?"

"Joe, my name is Grace now."

"Whatever. How have you been?"

"I am fine. How are you?"

"I am fine too."

"Is anything bothering you?"Reddit

Jesus please touch him.

I have done that already.

Silence..

"N-no."

He had an emotionless expression but I thought I could see tears brimming his eyes. I put my hand on his shoulder and I saw him flinch. He stood up.

"Why are your hands warm?"

"I don't know. Joe, what's wrong?"

"I just feel like something is missing."

"Maybe that's because you don't have Jesus in your life yet."

"If you are here to try to make me entrust my life into the hands of an invisible guy, well you're wasting your time."

Jesus, what do I do?

Even though I am not there with you in person, I am with you in the Spirit. Concerning the one who has done this, I have already passed judgment

I recognized that as 1 Cor 5 : 3.

I decided to just trust Jesus to do it himself.
