olivia walked out into the lobby and carlos beamed when he saw his girlfriend. carlos was talking to the talking parrot, listening to what it told him to do. he wanted to take olivia out on a date and tell her he loves her.

"ooh! should i ask olivia to go on a date? and tell her i love her?' carlos asked the parrot.

the parrot squawked, "today is your lucky day."

carlos passed, before rushing over to his girlfriend. olivia smiled at his presence and kissed his cheek, which made him smile goofily.

"hi handsome," olivia greeted.

"hi princess," he said and glanced back at the bird, who squawked. carlos turned back and took olivia's hands. "do you want to go on a date tonight?"

olivia nodded with a soft smile, "of course! meet here around 8?"

carlos nodded with red cheeks, "yeah..."

"awesome," olivia kissed him gently and carlos kissed back, squeezing her hands.

they pulled away, "see you later, handsome."

olivia walked away and carlos rushed back to the bird with excitement.

"you're not just any parrot, i shall call you... super parrot!" carlos declared and the bird squawked.

during the time before the date, olivia went to her studio to record a song for the show new town high. olivia and opal worked on this one together, feeling inspired by the two main characters' relationship and a little bit of personal ones too.

the song was called "why."

"ready?" kyle asked the sisters, who were in the both together. opal only sings backup for olivia, but records at the same time. the girls gave him a thumbs up and he started the track.

(olivia)
you like new york city in the daytime
i like new york city in the nighttime
you say you like sleeping with the air off
i don't, i need it on
you like the light coming through the windows
i sleep late, so i just keep 'em all closed
you ignore the music on the radio
i don't, i sing-a-long

i don't ask for you to change, baby no no no
and you don't ask for me to change
tell me how we're not alike
but we work so well and we don't even know why
funny how the stars crossed right
'cause we work so well and we don't even know why
you can call it fire and ice
but we work so well and we don't even know why
we don't even know why, no no
we don't even know why, no no no
no no no no
we like it in the daytime
we like it in the end of time
no no no no
we like it in the daytime
we like it in the end of time
