"Hey, (Name)," Bakugou speaks up, "What did you get for number five?"

I look up from my paper. "I got A," I reply.

Bakugou seems pleased, it's hard to tell but his lips twitch up slightly. "I did too."

"Can you show me how to do ten," I ask. "I'm a little bit stuck on step three."

The fiesty blonde leans over to look at my paper. He's so close I can hear him breathing. My face gets hot as he looks over the steps. "You're doing this part wrong," He says, showing me the proper way to do it.

Bakugou pulls away and I can finally breathe normally. My heart is beating so fast. "Thanks," I mumble.

After a few minutes of struggling to get through the problem, Bakugou grumbles and puts down his pencil. "What's wrong?"

"What do you mean," I ask.

Bakugou rolls his eyes. "I mean you usually can breeze through these papers. And you never get stuck on problems. I think somethings bothering you," He crosses his arms, positive he's right.

And he is. I know I can't hide it so I sigh. "I can't tell you," Bakugou starts to inturupt so I look directly at him, "Because it's confidential. But I can say, there's something bad happening to someone. I really, really want to help her, but there's nothing I can do," I look down at my paper at that last part.

I don't realize I'm crying until a drop hits my paper. I wipe my tears with the back of my hands and take a deep breathe. "(Name)," Bakugou says, and it's gentler than he's ever been. I look back up at him. "Sometimes there are going to people you won't be able to save. But that doesn't mean you can't try."

"I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me," I sniffle. Bakugou glares. "Sorry for crying so much."

He huffs and rolls his eyes again. "Crying isn't something to be sorry for, dumbass."

Somehow, those words make me happier than I have been since I heard about Eri. "Thank you," I whisper.

I wake up early and quickly turn off my alarm so I don't wake up anyone else. Today's the day of the attack. I'm so nervous. Will I do okay? Will I even be helpful?

I shake my head. Don't think like that, it helps no one. I get up and splash cold water on my face in the bathroom. I quickly get ready, dressing in my hero costume and everything. I can do this.

I go donwstairs, even though I don't have to leave for another thirty minutes. I see Kirishima already sitting on the couch. I smile and sit next to him. Neither of us says anything, just sitting in the comfort of the other's presence. When it's finally time to leave, Uraraka, Tsu, and Deku are all waiting with us. Aizawa comes in, telling us it's time to go.

The rest of the trip flashes by. The nervous energy is buzzing through my body and I can't seem to sit still.

We arrive at the location of the Yakuza base. Eri is just beyond those walls. The Yakuza attacks right away. Heroes and police stay behind, including Uraraka and Tsu's agency, so that we can get to Eri as soon as posible. I notice that the whole time, Kirishima hasn't left my side. He's even holding onto my arm when it gets hard to stick right by me.

"Red Riot?"

He hums in response. "Yeah?"

"What's up with you? You haven't left my side since the battle started."

Kirishima hesitates. "I don't know what you mean." I sigh but don't push further.

"(Hero Name)," Kirishima speaks up a little while later.

"Yeah?"

"I have to split off now, Fat Gum needs me. You better not get hurt, Bakugou would kill me!"

I smile, now realizing what was going on. "I promise to be careful! Now go help our boss!"

With that, I ran ahead with Sir Nighteye's agency. He looks at me and quirks an eyebrow. "Where's your group?"

"My boss got split off from us, sir. Red Riot and Suneater went with him for backup. I was told to stick with you if we got split up," I explain while we run.

"Very well then, you can stay."

I nod and continue running. We make it to Overhaul with a few interuptions. I gasp when I see what is going on. Mirio is fighting Overhaul, but he's not using his quirk. I rush in, Nighteye right behind me, and pull on my headphones.

Focusing, I reach out to Overhaul and try taking some energy. I manage to grab a whole lot and use that to buff up Mirio and Deku, an ability I recently learned I had.

My eyes widen when I notice Overhaul's energy force hasn't changed. I look for Nighteye and try telling him this. He seems to get it because he turns to shout something to Mirio and Deku.

I nearly collapse when something shoots into my stomach. In fact, I would have fallen if it wasn't keeping me up. I look down and see a sharp rock stabbed inside my lower stomach, right below the navel.

Well fuck. It's not a huge point, I can break it off lower down so I can still move without having to pull it out. I look over to see if the others are hurt. Deku only has minor stabs, Mirio is a bit worse, but Nighteye is bad. Actually, bad is an understatement. If I wasn't stabbed myself, I could probably think of a better word. But I'm a little dizzy from the wound.

I shout, unsure if I actually did with my headphones on, for Mirio to get Eri out of here. I make sure to give a little bigger of a boost to Nighteye when I take Overhaul's energy as a little boost to keep him up. No matter how much I take, Overhaul keeps replenishing. I even took it all at one point but it didn't stop him. On the bright side, Deku has a huge boost of power. On the downside, Eri came back and now Overhaul has him so Deku has to hold back.

The rest of the battle goes like this. Eri gets taken back by Deku. I steal energy, pass it to the team, Overhaul replenishes it somehow, Deku beats the shit out of him, Overhaul fixes himself. At this point, Deku has so much power and Eri's quirk is stopping him from breaking anything so he makes quick work of Overhaul. Once I'm positive Overhaul is down, I pull off my headphones and rush to Eri. I trip on my own feet but get caught by Uraraka. My ears won't stop ringing.

"Uravity! Please," I cough and notice blood, "Take me to Eri."

"But, (Hero Name) you need medical help," She says.

"I promise I'll go, I just want to see that she's okay," I beg. "I just need to know."

Uraraka sighs. "Fine, I'll take you up there and show you Eri. But then you go to an ambulance."

I nod my head. Uraraka takes me out of the crater, careful not to disturb my wound. I see Eri passed out on Deku. I reach out weakly for her energy and find it. "I'm... so glad she's okay," I smile. And then everything goes black.
