Tall Figure-Chapter two

The next day Colette woke up,she had a pounding headache along with a stiff body. She couldn't remember anything at all,she just remembered that Daisy had visited her. She stared off into the distance wondering what happened. A few moments had passed and the nurse came in with a grin from ear to ear saying 'Morning sunshine,How are you today?' Colette thought it was odd,the nurse would almost never come to see if she was awake... 'You took quite the tumble dear,How are you feeling?' Colette looked up at her with confusion 'What do you mean? I can't remember anything apart from Daisy coming to visit me?' the nurse turned around, staring into her soul... 'Dear...after Daisy went home you sat outside for a few minutes and stood up,as if you were looking for someone...the next thing I know, you're banging on the door as hard as you possibly can...When I opened it you fell against the door, when I asked what's wrong,You looked at me in shock,Too stunned to speak,When you got up,and tried to walk,you fell down. You've been out for 2 days now...' Colette couldn't believe what she was hearing. slowly but surely her memory came back. The nurse looked at Colette before she walked out of the room.

She stood up and walked towards the window. She couldn't believe it. She turned around,walked towards the bathroom and stared intensely into the mirror. She turned around, turning on the shower, waiting for the water to get warm. In disbelief she got in the shower. After a few minutes she got out and got dressed, and brushed her teeth. The nurse came in,saying she should go to the cafeteria. Colette nodded saying ' I'll be right there.' She walked out of the bathroom, into the long dark and eerie halls of the ward. Something seemed strange to Colette, something was different. She looked around taking in every single detail,She looked around,but nothing was missing. She thought 'Maybe it's my headache,But something is different...' She walked over to the cafeteria seeing her bestest friend sitting there...Colton. 'Colette!! Hey! I haven't seen you in a while,What happened?' she gave him a smile before sitting down next to him. She looked down to the floor wondering how to explain the situation to Colton without sounding crazy... 'Well,I know this seems crazy,But I'm seeing things, I've been having weird dreams..' Colton looked at her for a few seconds before he took her hand and held it. 'Colette,c'mon,you know you're not crazy.' Colette gave him a slight smile before saying 'Oh Colton,what would I do without you?' Colton gave her a smile. 'C'mon let's eat.'

In midst eating alongside Colton, Colette couldn’t stop ignoring the visions she saw flash from everything she constantly saw.
‘Colton?’
‘Yes darling?’
‘What if I am crazy?’
Colton stares at her for a moment…
'Colette,you are not crazy.' She stares back at him, wondering what to say.
'Colton, I'm seeing a tall black figure every where I go,When I look around nothing feels real.' She stood up,and walked away,she didn't even get time to finish her food. Colton just stared at her as she was walking away,not saying a word.
Colette wandered the halls, Wondering what seems off about it,she doesn't seem to find anything out of place.
She went over to reception and grabber her packet of cigarettes as well as a lighter and went to go sit outside.
Before she took one more step,she looked around outside to see if she saw anything,she saw nothing but the willow tree and pretty pink tulips in bloom.
She walked over and sat down, opened her packet of cigarettes and lit one. Admiring the beautiful view she got lost in her thoughts again. She got tired of always feeling the same and nothing changing.

It's time for change, it's time for improvement. Colton came out,and sat next to Colette. Colette didn't even hear the door opening and closing. 'Colette?'
She jumped 'Jesus! You scared the shit out of me!' Colton tried to hold in his laugh but failed to do so. 'What's up ?' she said. 'I just wanted to apologise for not listening to you as I should've...' Colette looked at him with a blank stare. 'Oh...yea no, It's fine,I guess it happens to the best of us.' She looked at him taking in another breathe of her half smoked cigarette. The tension was awkward. She didn't know what to say or what to do. Out of nowhere Colton had asked 'Have you been taking your pills?' Colette being angry he had even asked said 'Why wouldn't I take my pills? At this point it's the only thing that's keeping me sane' Colton was stunned,He looked at her before standing up and walking away.
She turned around and put out her cigarette. She went in a few moments after him.

In silence she walked through the door,not seeing anybody. She thought 'How strange...where is everyone?' She started walking through the whole ward,But there was no one in sight. She didn't even care enough to search for them any longer. She turned around seeing the long hall. It gave her an eerie feeling,and she knew something was about to happen.
As she walked to her room she heard a strange noise behind her. She turned around seeing nothing. As she turned back...It was there. She knew she couldn't run this time,because no matter what she did, it will always end up coming back. She stood still as she was accepting her fate. Her heart beat got slower and slower by the second. Her ears had a strange buzzing noice. She looked up in fright. The tall figure lifted it's hands up trying to touch her forehead. Colton came up behind her and touched her shoulder. She quickly turned around, snapping out of what just happened.
'Colette,are you okay? Why were you just standing still?' she looked at him in fear 'You'll just think I'm crazy. I'm going to my room now.' she turned around and hurriedly rushed to her room closing the door behind her.
