A few days later Cookie called Meagan, "Mom if this is about the rumors about Republic records signing me to their label it's not true" Meagan answered her phone.
"Thanks for clearing that up, but that's not why I called. There is a 5 year old girl with um AML, shoot I forgot what it means" Cookie tells her.
"Acute myelogenous leukemia" Meagan says signing sadly, "yeah, how you know?" Cookie question curiously.
"I was diagnosed with ALL, acute lymphocytic leukemia when I was two. After I was diagnosed I had a bone marrow transplant six month later" Meagan revealed to her.
"Oh my god" Cookie says in disbelief, Meagan could hear her getting emotional. "Mom it's fine, I don't even remember it. The only reason I kinda do is base off of pictures. Luckily it was caught early, am fine mom" Meagan told her smiling.
Cookie was silently crying, she missed out on so many things in her daughter's life. Her baby girl needed her the most and she wasn't there for her,
"Andre and Jamal can tell you more about it, I was only two so I don't have any memories of what's it was like" Meagan told her.
It still pain Cookies heart, "What's up with the little girl?" Meagan question wanting to move the conversation away from herself.
"Oh, um, the doctors didn't catch it early and she only has a short period of time to live" Cookie informed her.
"Dang, no kid deserves that" Meagan says signing sadly, "she was offered a wish and she wished for you to sing to her that lullaby you created in your first album" Cookie told her.
Meagan really didn't want to do it, she knows the moment she sees that little girl she's gonn get attached and then will have to say goodbye.
"Which hospital is she in?" Meagan question after a moment, "Seattle Grace Hospital" Cookie informed her.
"Ooh, that a 7 hour flight but by car is 41 hours" Meagan mumbles to herself.
"Just use your Majesty jet" Cookie told her, "Can't use the Majesty jet for non-Majesty business and my personal jet is currently under maintenance" Meagan told her biting her bottom lip.
"Then drive up there, you got multiple cars last I checked" Cookie suggested, "I would if I had any of my cars with me. Freshman aren't allowed cars, am just gonna have to rent one" Meagan told her.
"Be careful on the road and call me when you get there" Cookie told her before hanging up.
Meagan rented car online that will be dropped off at the school entrance gate. She packed a small suitcase and booked a hotel room nearby the hospital as well, "where you going?" Simone asked walking into her room.
"Knock Simone, am gonna be gone for about a week don't sweat it" Meagan told her.
To be really honest Meagan is not really a big fan of Simone. Meagan did a background check on her to see if she's a trustworthy person and what she found out didn't really give off the vibe that she's trustworthy.
