Jax invited their friends from college Tadashi, Hiro, Gogo, Honey, Wasabi, and Fred to watch Mae in her surfing competition she her friends were forty minutes early and Mae was an hour early so she could practice her moves once it was 3 pm the competition would start the competitors swimmed to the ocean sat on their board and waited for a wave Mae got the first wave and did many free styles the judges commentated her while she was surfing so the people who came to watch would know what was going on, after she got close to the shore she went on her stomach to swim to the shore and get a vote for the judges four tens, she has forty points so far in the competition her family and friends cheered her on she waved and smiled she then ran back into the ocean after about an hour they had one more round after the one she is about to do she was going to do her trick she swimmed to the ocean got a huge wave and rode on top doing a hand stand hanging off the edge with her toes once she got back up her left foot gave out something happened to her foot she stood there one legged and she lost balance tumbling into the water the rescue team got her after they saw they she couldn't swim one of  them brought her to shore and sat her down near the doctor "What happened dear?" the doctor asked her family and friends were looking at her painful facial expression "M-my foot I-i can't feel it I don't know w-what's wrong with it." Mae choked out between the tears "Hm. Okay" He nodded and did a x-ray of the foot "It appears she have broken  the nerve in your foot, that causes you not able to do anything." The doctor said "W-will I still be a-able to surf?" She said worried "I'm sorry dear but no." The doctor said standing up giving an X over his head to indicate she cant surf anymore the doctor called the hospital so she could have surgery on the nerve he left her there her brother came over to her and hugged her the judges announced "Mae Parker is unable to continue!" They said sadly to see her not able to go on she hugged her brother and started crying even more "There, there." Jax said hugging her and rubbing her back the ambulance came and they allowed Jax to take her to the ambulance they rushed her to the hospital after thirty minutes they got there and took her to the emergency room after ten minutes of waiting they got her in an sterilized room and put sterilized clothes on her instead they did their doctor/nurse routine "We are going to put anesthesia in you so you don't feel any pain." A nurse said and when he did that she was out cold, after about two hours of surgery she got out they put soft bandages on her foot then hard bandages for protect her foot then they put her in a foot boot to be extra careful everyone was in the room with the out cold Mae "This shouldn't have happened. If I said no to letting her surf." Luna their mom said "Mom, it was her dream to be a surfer and you know that. You were so proud of her!" Jax said to their mom "I know i just feel like it's my fault." Luna said. Jax and Luna were sitting next to each other Hiro and Tadashi on the other side of Jax. Fred, Gogo, Wasabi, and Honey on the other side with the mom. The dad came walking in panicked "She okay?!" Nathan their dad said "Yeah shes asleep right now." Luna said sadly "Okay." he sat next to Honey Lemon. Two hours later and Mae woke up everyone still sitting there looking at her, she noticed some were crying and some were just sad their dad got up and walked to her "How do you feel?" he asked Mae shook her head she was still so tired she didn't understand most of the sentence he said.
