"You found me." She breathed out, her heart erratically beating inside her chest.

"I'd even find you among a crowd of a hundred people," he declared, his determination cutting through the fiery amber eyes.

"Kanjoos kahin ke! Crowd of hundred people, tum value barhaane ke liye million bhi keh sakte thy." She choked out as she replied jokingly, to lighten his mood, the panic in his eyes was unnerving.

"You're one in a billion. No wait, one in a trillion or even one in a zillion," he said caressing her face and planting another kiss on her forehead.

Gule closed her eyes, the comfort and feeling of safety his presence provided her with took away all her fears in an instant.

"Shaheer, I-"

"Let's get out of here first." He stood up and helped her up carefully. His eyes roaming around to scan the location. He sensed danger and was on alert mode.

There was a window in the room and as he peeked out, his intuition was proven right. There was a group of men surrounding his bike as they began entering the building.

"Are you good at running?" He turned around to ask her as she quickly nodded. "Good. Let's go." Intertwining their hands together in a tight grip, they exited the room.

They sprinted through the dimly lit corridors as she kept staring at his back, blindly following behind him. Since the men were entering from the front side entrance, he had taken the back route stairs.

As they reached the second floor, danger seemed unavoidable. They ran into one of the men as they reached the edge of the last stair. He had a steel rod in his hand as he swung it in their direction with full force.

"Watch out," he exclaimed, pulling her to a halt just in time to dodge the blow. Moving her behind himself protectively, he grabbed the rod as the man went in for a second blow.

Twisting it out of the man's grip, Shaheer threw it away and landed two hard punches on both the sides of his face before smashing his head into the wall as he lost consciousness.

"Tum theek ho?" He turned around to check on her.

"Yeh tou hot tha," she remarked with amusement, catching her breath.

"Tum pagal ho?" He retorted in utter disbelief.

"Yeh tou rude tha," she quipped with a scowl.

He held her hand again, carefully stepping forward. She silently followed, not afraid at all anymore since she had him by her side.

They heard footsteps approaching towards their direction. Shaheer guided her towards the  bundle of tanks discarded at the corner. Hiding her behind those, he let go of her hand.
