Beauty

an ethereal melody woven into existence

The next morning, Meera did the same thing that she did yesterday and went to get breakfast with Aarushi and Aarushi. Yuktha didn't have any early morning classes so she's sleeping in. Meera reached her classroom ten minutes earlier than the reporting time. Halfway through the third hour, a member from the student council came to Meera's class and asked for a first year student. The teacher who was present, suggested that Meera could be that volunteer as she had told them yesterday that she had been the school pupil leader. After her classes got over, Meera went to the cafeteria as per the instructions given to her.

As she neared the cafeteria, she spotted no one so she thought she got lost again. Just as she turned around she bumped into a wall that she was so sure wasn't there before. "Why do we keep meeting like this?" Dhruv said chuckling. Meera let out an awkward laugh as she looked around in search of a familiar face. Dhruv noticing this asked her,"you looking for someone?"

"Uhh yeah. Someone from the executive board was looking for a first year and she asked me to come to the cafeteria but no one's here" she said shrugging one of her shoulders. "Oh that's was you? I know where they are come with me" dhruv said as he placed a hand behind the small of her back. 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘶- Meera shook her head trying not think of anything else about what he just told her. She blushed a little as she realised dhruv still had his hands on her back.

When he saw the others sitting, he quickly withdrew his hands from her back. Meera frowned at this but quickly brushed it off as she reached them."Hi Meera! I'm sanskriti. I'm the secretary of the college and that is dhruv who's the president of the college and I don't think you have met him.
"Oh I've met her sunny. Twice actually." Dhruv said as he took a sip from the water bottle. Meera watched as he swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbed up and down and she found herself gulping inaudibly. When she looked up his his face, he had a tiny smirk which was enough for her to know that he knew she was checking him out. Meera blushed and quickly turned to look at 'sunny' sanskriti who had her head tilted to the side in confusion. "We bumped into each other a couple of times." Dhruv said as he stood next to her. Quite literally Meera thought.

Sanskriti nodded wordlessly and facepalmed before saying " hey i actually called you here to inform you that you are the one who's gonna be in charge of the freshers day you know like getting their names and making sure they perform on Friday, since you said you were the SPL in your school?" Sanskriti said as she scratched her head. "Uh yeah okay. You mean I have to take care of the entire first year students right?" "That's right." Sanskriti said as she turned around to get a paper with a bunch of names in it.

"This has the names of a few students who are going to be helping you too. So all you have to do is collect their names, their department, their number and what they're going to be performing on Friday." Sanskriti said to Meera as she gave her a small clipping pad with a few papers attached to it. "Do you have any classes right now?" She asked as she opened her bottle. "No I'm done for today" Meera said as she read through the names in the pad. She noticed yuktha's name being there so she was kind of relieved that there was alteast one familiar person. "Okay cool! Dhruv will be assisting you guys today. So you can go with him to the place as all the others have been informed already." Sanskriti said clapping her hands.

"You ready?" Dhruv asked as he got up from where he was sitting. Meera nodded wordlessly as she stared at a few hair strands that fell over his forehead when he nodded his head at her. He started walking and started a conversation to ease the awkward tension between them. Sensing no reply from her, he turned around to see her zoned out looking at his back. He furrowed his eyebrows and clicked his fingers to get her attention. Meera snapped out the trance she was in and took a few long strides  to catch up with his pace.
