Golden Hour- Cole Walter

Chapter 2

I stood in front of the house just admiring. It wasn't the Taj Mahal or anything but it had such a homey feel. 

"Come inside, i'll introduce you to everyone and show you around" Katherine said as George unloaded my stuff from the car. I followed her in and we headed straight into the kitchen. In there was a young man leaning on the counter.

"Will, this is Eden. Eden this is my eldest" I smiled and shook his hand that he held out for me

"Eden, it's so great to finally meet you, we've all been very excited for your arrival" He beamed. He was very nice, i think the welcoming feeling runs through all the people here, as far as i know now anyway. A phone rang and Katherine looked at it and groaned. 

"I have to take this one second" She smiled at me. I nodded and turned to Will

"What's the best thing to do around here?" I asked, trying to get a feel for what their idea of fun was. 

"Well i'm 23 so i don't get up to a lot of fun but the kids go to fairs and horse races and parties, that's about as good as it gets" He said cheerfully. I mentally rolled my eyes. Horse races and fairs? What fun this will be.

"Guys i'm so sorry, that was work. A dog just got hit by a car and they need me in for emergency surgery. Apparently no one there is trained to do a surgery" She huffed annoyed as she rushed around to put her shoes on.

"Eden i'm so sorry i had a whole tour planned this is seriously the worst timing" She ranted. 

"No don't worry i understand" I said as she looked at me and smiled warmly.

"Will, show her around please, introduce her to everyone" She directed as she was halfway out the door. 

"Well let's start with whoever's in the house" He smiled as he led us down the hallway. He stopped at what seemed to be the living room. There were two boys on the couch playing video games. 

"Alex, Isaac, this is Eden." Will introduced. Isaac waved and said a simple hi while Alex stood up and looked at me. There was a moment where our eyes locked. He gulped, seemingly at a loss of words. He moved forwards and shook my hands. 

"Fond of handshakes in this family huh" I chuckled. He smiled and just looked at me. 

"Okay let's move on, see who else we can find" Will clapped his hands and we moved on. We headed upstairs and saw a boy on the floor of his room with a guitar. 

"Nathan, this is Eden." Nathan jumped up with a massive smile. 

"It's so nice to meet you" He shook my hand excitedly. I smiled back

"You too" I barely had time to say as Will ushered me outside. 

"Just so you know, i'm hard of hearing so if i'm not looking at you or there's lots of noise, i wont have heard you" Will disclaimed as we headed out into the backyard. 

"No problem" i said, putting my hands in my back pockets. There was music playing and a few kids playing with swords around a pool. There was one boy who was following two little kids with a camera. 

"Hey everyone, this is Eden" Will spoke up as he paused the music. They all stopped what they were doing and stared at me. I waved and said hello. I got a couple heys back. 

"Thats Parker and Benny" He said pointing to the two younger kids. I heard a splash and looked towards the pool to see a tall, sculpted blonde boy shake his hair as he got out. If i had no self control my jaw would've dropped. He watched me as he headed over to a sun bed and grabbed a towel. He had a menacing smirk on his face.
