Golden Hour- Cole Walter

Chapter 3

I woke up to a dog slobbering all over me. I instantly sat up and groaned in disgust. 

"Your gross, y'know that?" I said as i wiped my arm. I then gave him a hug and a kiss. I cannot resist dogs. I let him sit on my bed as i got up to get ready for school. I straightened my long brown hair and then applied a natural amount of makeup. Now it was time to choose an outfit. I picked out some low waisted slight flare jeans with a Ralph Lauren style cable knit jumper. To finish it off i added a distressed leather biker jacket. I know this was more of a New York style outfit but i decided to stay true to me. I also put on some beat converse just so a small part of me fit in. 

I headed downstairs, calling the dog to come with me. He followed me down and i stopped at the bottom, watching the chaos in front of me. There were kids running around, Jordan was filming everything, Isaac was skateboarding all over the kitchen and Katherine was running around making sure everyone had there lunches. 

"Bus leaving in 5!" Cole shouted as he grabbed keys and headed out the door. Another boy who i hadn't met followed after him and then the rest went out the door. 

"Hey sweetie! How'd you sleep?"N Katherine asked as she walked up to me

"Yeah not too bad, got a nice awakening" I said gesturing to the dog. She laughed a bit and handed me some pancakes. 

"You may want to take these to go, the boys are about to start the car" She said as she put them in a ziplock bag. 

"Have a great first day and i want to hear all about it when you get back" She beamed as she gave me a hug and sent me out the door. I squeezed in the car and sat between Alex and the boy i hadn't met. As Cole started to drive the boy turned to me

"I'm Danny, we didn't meet yesterday cus i was at play rehearsals" He smiled. 

"Oh yeah, nice to meet you, what play are you rehearsing for?" I asked, i have a soft spot for musicals. 

"Well i'm actually practising to audition for a play, i don't know what it is yet but i just need to know a monologue" He replied

"I love theatre, i used to do theatre classes back in New York when i was younger" I said, smiling while remembering how i played one of the three pigs in a Shrek musical. 

"No way thats so cool, you should audition for our play" He said with great excitement. I thought about it for a moment, it would tick Katherine's rule about having to be in at least one extra curricular. 

"I'll think about it, thanks" I smiled, he smiled back content and then looked out the window. I looked forward and saw Cole looking at me through the mirror. I looked away quickly, not wanting to make an awkward eye contact. In an effort to avoid eye contact with Cole i turned to Alex's side and managed to make eye contact with him. What is with these boys. 

We finally got to the school and everyone one got out apart from me. I stayed in my seat. If there was one thing i hated it was being the new girl. Everyone has opinions and speculations. Danny poked his head in the car. 

"Hey you coming? We'll show you to your classes" He offered. 'We' being him and Nathan. 

"Are you sure?" I asked. I didn't want them to go out of their way for me. 

"Of course, can't have you getting lost" He smiled as he held a hand out for me to help me out of the car. I got out and moved round to the front of the car and looked at the school. Cole came up next to me and just stood there. 

"Like what you see?" He asked. I looked at him up and down

"Not really" I joked. He laughed and rolled his eyes.
