Thanksgiving. Who cares? Why should there be a designated day in order to remind us to be thankful? I've never been a fan, regardless of anything. Valentines day too. I think it's stupid that there has to be specific days to love your significant other more or be more thankful than normal.

I got up and got dressed, it was freezing today so i wore black jeans and a cream sweater. I headed downstairs to a bustling kitchen full of Walters running around. There were amazing smells from every corner.

"Hey honey! Happy thanksgiving!" Katherine beamed as i made myself visible

"Uh thanks, you too" I smiled back

"So every year each of us make a plate of whatever we want for dinner. We were wondering if you had a specific thing you wanted us to pick up ingredients for?" She asked, George standing next to her

"Yeah, anything your mom makes? Name it and you can have it" He added. I thought for a moment. We never really did thanksgiving so my mom didn't have anything special.

"I think i'll pass this time, if thats okay?" I asked. They nodded hesitantly.

"Sure sweetie, whatever you like" Katherine smiled before returning her attention to the kitchen.

I got a text from Carson asking to meet up that day. I figured since everything at the Walter house will be about thanksgiving, i may as well.

"Actually Katherine i'm not sure i'll be here for dinner, i've got some errands to run and stuff so don't wait i can maybe grab some leftovers later" I said in a hurry as i headed out the door. The less questions the better.

Carson was outside in his car to pick me up

"Hey, how you doing?" He asked as he pulled out of the driveway

"I'm fine, you?" He nodded in response, grinning.

"Why are you smiling like that?" I laughed, confused as to what was so exciting

"I didn't tell you what i had planned today" He said, i furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I thought we were just gonna hang out somewhere, maybe get some food.

"What do you have planned?" I asked. He just made a motion of keeping his mouth shut as he drove.

We'd been driving for a while, music blasting and laughing non stop. I hadn't even realised we were practically in the middle of no where. He finally stopped on the side of a dirt road. He got out and then opened my door for me

"What a gentleman" I smiled teasingly as he bowed. He then went to the back of his car and pulled out a bag of food and a blanket. I was beyond surprised. He laid the blanket down and put all the food out and presented me with a picnic.

"Wow, this was so sweet of you" I beamed as i sat down with him.

"What can i say, chivalry isn't dead" He said as he pulled out some paper towels

"I can see that" I smiled, this was cute. He pulled out a sandwich and handed it to me. I looked at it then looked back up him

"This is my favourite!" I said, beaming. He smiled back and nodded

"Yeah i know that's why i got it" He said, i pushed my brows together and looked at him,

"How did you know?" I haven't ever told him.

"I was just talking to Cole the other day and it came up" He shrugged

"My favourite sandwich came up in your conversation?" I asked, that was definitely not a natural conversation.

"Well it was less of a conversation, more him trying to prove he knows you better than i do. Don't tell him i told you though, he'll hate me more than he already does" Carson said, digging into his sandwich. Why the hell would Cole being trying to prove he knows me better?
