EMBER ESTELLE WHITE ENTERED THE kitchens with tears embellishing her eyes, blurring the world around her into a mess of stained-glass windows. Unrequited love was an odd taste. How she, a single girl, could love someone with her entire heart- her entire soul even- and to not even be glanced at with a brush of attraction. Odd... she had loved River O'Conner for all of her teen years, and yet he had fallen for the pretty ginger. Lily Evans was gorgeous and smart and completely and utterly devoted to her friends. If she were not dawned in red and gold, perhaps she would have been acquitted in yellow and black- then there would be no doubt of River falling for her.

Her feet drug slowly down the corridor. Paintings of various foods littered the walls and she wondered just how long they had been there. The work of an elf, or a ghost... maybe another student who had once walked the very path she took. Alas, she reached the door, giving a weird glance to the pear before tickling it. Hogwarts was an odd place. The door opened widely, allowing Ember full enterance. She stepped in, elves immediately flocking her and requesting what food she wanted. "Chocolate dipped strawberries and hot chocolate please?" Ember asked sweetly. Her usual.
