Ragini, a modern businesswoman, never imagined that a malfunctioning experiment would transport her back in time to the regal kingdom of Hastinapur. Lost and bewildered, she finds herself in the care of the royal family, with enigmatic and grief str...
The sun was just peeking over the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. The river sparkled with the reflection of the light, creating a serene and tranquil scene. Karn stood at the bank of the river, holding a copper vessel filled with water. He closed his eyes and chanted the sacred mantras, invoking the blessings of the sun god. He lifted the vessel and poured the water into the river, completing his daily ritual. He felt a sense of calm and peace wash over him, as he always did when he watched the rising sun.
He opened his eyes and turned to get his shawl, which he had left on a nearby rock. To his surprise, he saw Princess Adisha standing there, holding his shawl in her hands. She was accompanied by a few soldiers, who stood at a respectful distance from her. She smiled at him and handed him his shawl.
"Good morning, Maharaj," she said. "I hope I'm not disturbing you."
Karn wrapped the shawl around his shoulders and greeted her with a bow. "Good morning, Princess Adisha," he said. "Not at all. It's a pleasure to see you. What brings you here so early?"
Adisha gestured to the river and the palace, which loomed in the distance. "I was taking a walk around the palace grounds, and I saw you here. I thought I'd come and say hello. Don't you have a beautiful view here?"
Karn nodded. "I do. It's part of my routine. It gives me peace and strength for the day ahead."
Adisha looked at him with admiration. "That's very admirable of you. You are very devoted to your faith and your duty. I respect that."
Karn smiled and gestured for her to walk beside him as they began their way back to the palace.
"And you, Princess, what do you do in the mornings?" he said.
Adisha shrugged. "I usually practice my music. I love to sing and play the veena. It soothes my soul and lifts my spirits. Music is my passion."
Karn nodded. "I've heard you sing. You have a lovely voice. And you play the veena very well. Music is a gift, and you have it in abundance."
Adisha blushed. "Thank you. You are very generous with your praise. And you, Maharaj, do you have any hobbies or interests?"
Karn thought for a moment. "I like to train, to keep myself fit and ready for any challenge, to expand my mind and broaden my horizons and sometimes to relax."
Adisha nodded. "You are very talented and intelligent."
Karn felt a warm feeling in his chest. It's been sometime since he heard any compliments for him, usually only Vrushali complimented him, and that brought her memories back once again.
He cleared his throat and asked, "So, Princess, is there any other reason for your visit? Do you have any message for me or my family?"
Adisha nodded. "Yes, there is. Your mother, Queen mother Kunti, has asked for you to meet her in her chamber. She said it's urgent and important. She didn't tell me what it was about, but she seemed very serious."
Karn frowned. He wondered what his mother wanted to talk to him about. He hoped it wasn't anything bad. He said, "I see. Thank you for telling me. I'll go and see her right away."
Adisha nodded. "You're welcome. I'll accompany you to the palace, if you don't mind."
Karn smiled. "I don't mind at all."
They began to walk towards the palace, side by side. They continued to talk, about their families, their friends, their dreams, and their hopes.
