Amal's P.O.V:

It was the day after my nikkah when I again received flowers in the morning. Just as I received the flowers, I got a call at the same time. It was my husband's call. I picked it up.

"Assalam o Alaikum! Kesi hain ap?" His voice calmed my nerves for a while.

(How are you?)

"Uh..Walaikum Assalam. I am fine. Ap kesay hain?"

"Main bhi theek hoon. Mainay apko disturb to nhi kiya na?" His words sounded too cautious.

(I am fine too. I did not disturb you, right?)

"Aray nhi....disturb kyun krna ap nay?" I immidiately cleared my throat and corrected my words.

(Aray no...why would you disturb me?)

"I mean no, it's alright. I am free if you want to talk." I heard his chuckle through the phone and facepalmed myself. Wow! Great job Amal! You managed to embarass yourself again!

"Did you like the flowers?" His sudden question caught me off guard.

"Ji?" I was flabbergasted and could only counter question.

"The bouquet! I am talking about the flowers you have been receiving for a week. They were actually from me."

"WHAT?" I yelled and quickly got nervous when I saw the maids laughing at me.

I moved towards the garden and whisper yelled at him,

"Why would you even give me flowers? Do you even know how worried I got? I thought......I thought it was someone else."

"Ap meri biwi hain. Apko flowers nhi bhejoon ga to kisko bhejoon."

(You are my wife. If I don't send flowers to you then to whom should I send?)

"But we got married yesterday and you have been sending to me before that." My voice that started off quite confidently started losing its amplitude at the end of the sentence.

"Apko pehlay bhi btaya hai that I considered you my biwi way before we got married.  Acha! Chalain ye to bta den kay apko psnd aye kay nhi?" Keeping his tone gentle, he asked me.

(I have told you this before too that I started considering you as my wife way before we got married. Okay! Tell me If you like the flowers or not?)

I sighed, finding him a bit crazy, yet my heart fluttered to the way he sent me flowers everyday after the baat pakki. I have never received such beautiful gifts before not even when I was about to get married in the past.

"I mean they are pretty....and I uh...truly appreciate your efforts. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful gift."

He laughed at my words before saying,
"If you consider these bouquets as gifts then you might get a stroke at what I consider as gifts."

My face reddened at his words and I cleared my throat before saying,
"Mujhe der ho rhi hai. I have to go to school today. Allah hafiz."

(I am getting late.)

"Apna khyal rkhna. Allah hafiz." He uttered and I heard the barking of a dog in the background. "Oye stop! Let me say goodbye to my wife."

"Ap bhi khyaal rakhiye ga." I cut the call after that. Taking deep breaths, I patted my chest. I don't know what happens to my heart whenever I am in his vicinity.

(You too, take care.)

............(Time Skip)..........

Cladded in a maroon lehenga, I knew I looked extremely gorgeous. Even I was in tears after seeing myself like this. The knock on the door caught my attention and I went to open it. I came to face to face with my friends! A huge smile took over my face and I excitedly hugged both of them.
