Author's POV: After college ends, everyone heads home. Priya goes with Prakriti because Prakriti's mom insists on Priya staying with them for a few days while her parents are in Delhi. On Prashant's side, he arrives home with Dev. You might be wondering why Dev is going to Prashant's home instead of his own. Well, Dev's family lives in Kolkata, but he studies in Mumbai. So, Prashant and his parents kindly request Dev to live with them, and Dev happily agrees. Prashant's parents love Dev like their own son, and he affectionately calls them "aai baba" (mom and dad in Marathi).
Prashant's POV: As I reach home, I catch a glimpse of my beautiful aai (mom) cooking something delicious in the kitchen. Dev and I head to the kitchen and see aai making our favorite Maharashtrian sweet dish, puranpoli. I go up to her, hug her from behind, and Dev watches our heartwarming mother-son interaction. Aai then pulls both of us closer and serves us the mouthwatering puranpoli.
Aai: So kiddos, how was your exam today? Why did you come home so late? And how's the puranpoli? Why aren't you guys eating? Dev, how was your biology exam? Oh, I forgot to tell you, your parents called today. They said your phone was switched off, so they asked me to remind you to take care of yourself and study properly. And...
Prashant: Aai, hold on a minute! How many questions are you going to ask? Give us a moment. Puranpoli is incredibly tasty. And after our exam, Dev bumped into his school friend Priya, so he started chatting with her. Priya had another friend named Prakriti, and we had a wonderful time together. That's why we ended up being late. By the way, Dev will answer your other questions. I'll continue enjoying this delicious Puranpoli.
Dev: Aai, this puranpoli is so tasty! I love it. Can I have one more? Oh, and my biology exam went really well. After finishing the puranpoli, I'll give my parents a call.
Author's POV: After their conversation, Dev and Prashant finished eating the puranpoli. Dev called his parents and had a chat with them. Then, Dev and Prashant went to Prashant's room.
In Prashant's Room: Dev and Prashant sat on the bed and discussed their exams. Dev said, "Aree, today was so much fun at college. I met Priya after such a long time. And hey, you must have had a great time talking to Prakriti and saving her when she tripped on the ground." 🌝
Prashant replied, "Kya yaar, you too! But no matter what, today was an amazing day. I had such a nice conversation with Prakriti. And when Priya was taking her to the ground, that was the first time I saw her. Hayee, I think I have a crush on her." 😂❤️
And then, they continued their chit-chat, enjoying each other's company.
