ricky yawned for what seemed like the 500th time today. he had already been exhausted when he boarded the 13 hour long flight, and the fact that he couldn't get a wink of sleep at all did not help. he just couldn't sleep on planes. so basically he was awake for a day.
as he trudged towards baggage claim, half asleep, his passport slipped through his fingers and fell onto the floor. sighing, he bent down to pick it up but watched in horror as someone's shoe stepped flat onto the tiny book. ricky wanted to kill himself right then and there as his day was certainly not going well.
straightening up, he met eyes with a tall brunette with the largest eyes he had ever seen staring back at him.
"excuse m-"
"woah." the stranger let out.
ricky raised an eyebrow. "you're kinda stepping on my-"
"you're gorgeous." said stranger interrupted, eyes not leaving ricky's face.
that caught ricky off guard and he coughed, a little flustered before saying, "um- thank you but can you not step on my passport though?"
dazed, the other only seemed to realize the passport under his foot just then and immediately gasped. "oh, shit! i'm so sorry-" he bent down and picked it up for ricky, but not before somehow fumbling with his clumsy fingers and dropping it again, his ears reddening as he mumbled an apology and avoided eye contact.
gosh, ricky wasn't paid enough for this.
