(Day 9)
' "You should go kill yourself!" '
'It hurts'
' "Stop it! Don't kill him!" '
' "Siding with the demon?! Then you should die too!" '
'No'
'Help...someone help!'
'Why?'
'Blood...so much blood'
Lucryn's eyes snap open, lilac eyes showing a wild light as the youth is suddenly on his feet, hands clenching at his side as his eyes take in his surroundings. No one is around, the quiet of the woods is refreshing, helping him relax. 'Don't think on it...not now'
Taking in a breath, he slowly lets it out, his eyes noticing something he didn't see a moment ago. Blood red eyes with golden centers stare at him. Lucryn glances down at his right arm, seeing only fiery red swirls. The brown and deep purple swirls are gone. Eyes roving back up, he finds the shadowy creature that was about five feet in front of him is gone.
Scanning the woods around him, his senses are on high alert for anything that would give away the positioning of anyone around him. The woods are dark, the moon high up in the sky. It would be a few hours till daybreak. From afar he can hear some noises, the sounds of pokemon he assumes.
The woods surrounding Steven Stone's house are quieter. Not too many pokemon are around, but there's still some. Lucryn's left leg still stings from where a flower like pokemon had wrapped her leaves around him, the leaves digging in and leaving vicious scratches. That was only a few hours ago, the wounds still bleeding lightly, but he paid it no mind.
His posture loosens for only a moment, and then he's moving, ducking down, hands planting on the ground as his body rises, leg kicking out, solidly connecting with something and sending it flying. A ball of black energy flies by his head, solidly hitting into the thing he just sent flying. Landing lightly on his feet, Lucryn jumps, grasping a branch above him and swinging himself up. Crouching lightly on the branch, his eyes observe the small shadowy creature that has once more appeared near him.
On the ground, the thing he had kicked lay still. The shadowy creature gazes up at Lucryn, Lucryn giving the creature a wild smile, waiting to see what would come next. The creature's body sinks into the shadows, Lucryn going still, all senses straining to find the shadowy creature.
The faintest of ripples in a shadow beneath him on his left has him springing from the tree, landing right where the shadow had changed. Two blood red eyes observe him from the ground.
Lucryn gives the eyes a feral smile. His eyes are blank, causing a disharmony between his actions and his visage. The shadowy creature rises up, shadows curling around like smoke.
In the dark of night one could barely see the shadowy figure, but Lucryn's eyes seemed to pierce the darkness, staring straight into those blood red eyes.
"Marshadow!" The creature cries out, only its head out of the ground, inches from Lucryn's own. Lucryn's lips curl up, his eyes taking in everything. As if satisfied by what he sees within those blood red orbs he backs up, the shadowy creature fully rising from the ground. Lucryn reaches out, patting the creature's head, amused at how the shadows move under his touch, the creature didn't exactly have a corporal form, but the shadows gathered together can be touched, but with too much pressure they'd disperse. The shadows are cold to the touch, chilling Lucryn's fingers.
