I was in my school uniform. I was done with my seventh year classes, as I hung out with Marcus Flint. I was simply avoiding Barty now. I didn't need to confront him. Several times I felt his piercing stare at me, and he stared at me shamelessly, like I was the only thing he was focusing on. Once I looked at him, as he looked here and there, and then smirked like the devil at me. I simply gulped as I looked at the wine in my goblet.
It frightened me. The feelings I was having for him. His patronus was the male version of mine; mine was a vixen, while his was a fox. He must have been thinking about me when he did that Patronus. I wonder why... unless he ... no it cannot be... he even fits my description of the type of boy I'd fall for. Cruel, sadistic, narcissistic, psychotic, evil... yet he put my safety before my brother's and hopefully did not tell Voldemort about me ... No I cannot fall for him ... because if I do, I'll be betraying my parents, I'll be disappointing my friends, I'll be betraying my brother, I'll disappoint Severus. I must restrain myself. But why the hell am I yearning for his lips, for his touch. I can't even concentrate on my studies anymore. All I think about is him. Nothing else, no one else. And he's a pureblood fanatic, he'll never go for me. He'll only use me as a sex toy to play with, and torture me, break my heart and leave me as he leaves ......
I sat with Marcus and Roger, as discussed about the reasons why the Unforgivable curses are one way to Askaban prison, when I saw Harry come up towards us. More of to Diggory.
"Hey! Read the badge, Potter." said one of the Hufflepuffs.
"Can I have a word?" Harry said to Diggory.
"Alright." Said Diggory.
"You stink, Potter." Said one of them. "Ha, ha, ha, ha! Ouch!"
"You sent the electric hex didn't you Ams" said Roger as I smirked. "You're evil." He laughed as we joined in.
"Dragons." said Harry. "That's the first task. They've got one for each of us."
"Come on, Cedge." One of the Hufflepuffs said.
"Do y- are you serious? And um, Fleur and Krum, do they...?" he asked. Poor Diggory, Didn't expect that to be hitting him did he?!!!
"Yes." confirmed Harry.
"Come on, Cedge, leave him. He's not worth it. Read the badges, Potter!" said a Hufflepuff. I picked up a stone and took out my catapult and hurled the stone at him, hitting the back of his head. "Ouch! What the bloody hell!"
"Right... Hey listen, about the badges. I've asked them not to wear them." he said. Of course you slimy Hufflepuff.
"Don't worry about it." Said Harry as he went away. I saw him have a scowl fight with Ron and then turned heels as he went to the tree on which Draco was perched on.
"Why so tense, Potter? My father and I have a bet, you see. I don't think you're gonna last ten minutes in this tournament... He disagrees. He thinks you won't last five. Ha, ha!" Merlin! This can't be good now can it!
"I don't give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy." Harry spat back.
"Ugh!" said Draco wiping off the saliva from his face.
"He's vile and cruel, and you're a pathetic." Said Harry as he turned heels.
"Pathetic? I'll teach you..." said Draco as he took out his wand. I got up from my spot, and rushed to the boys to see Barty charging at Draco with his wand pointed at him.
"Hold it there, sonny..." he said. He waved his wand. And the next moment Draco was not there, in his place was an albino ferret, which was bouncing in the air and back to the ground. What the fucking Merlin is he doing! "I'll teach you to curse someone when their back is turned. You stinkin', cowardly, scummy, backstabbing..." he muttered as he levitated poor Draco to air and back. Suddenly Professor McGonagall came up. Thank Godric for that.
"Professor Moody, what- what are you doing?" she asked.
"Teaching." grunted Barty.
"Is that a- Is that a student?" she said.
"Technically, it's a ferret." He replied. with that he grabbed Vincent's pants and shoved Draco into it. Gross...
"Ahh! Oh! Aha! Ah!" Vincent panicked as he shouted.
"Stand still...stand still!" said Gregory as he tried to take out Draco. But he must have gotten bitten. "Argh!" the other students laughed. Even Harry was laughing. How childish!!!!!!!
"Professor that's Draco Lucius Malfoy." I said. Immediately she waved her wand and transformed Draco back to himself. Draco looked around in panic. Clearly his reputation had been tarnished for good.
"Ah! Whoa! Well, my father will hear about this!" spat Draco. I simply face palmed myself.
"Is that a threat? Huh?" shouted Barty.
"Professor Moody..." said McGonagall.
"Is that a threat?" spat Barty again.
"Professor..." shouted McGonagall.
"I could tell you stories about your father that would curl even your greasy hair, boy!" spat Barty.
"Alastor!" shouted Minerva.
"It doesn't end here!" he kept on spitting at the Slytherin gang.
"Alastor! We never use transfiguration as a punishment! Surely, Dumbledore told you that?" said McGonagall at last catching his attention.
"He might've mentioned it." Barty huffed.
"Well, you will do well to remember it." McGonagall said. "Away!" The students went away as Barty made a rolling tongue face making me suppress a laugh.
"You. Come with me." He said. He took Harry and I followed him. We went to his office as he went in and sat on a chair taking off his artificial leg. "Oh, ahh. Ahhh. That's a Foe-Glass. Lets me keep an eye on my enemies. If I can see the whites of their eyes, they're standing right behind me. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!" someone let out a burping sound. Must be the real Moody. "Wouldn't even bother telling you what's in there. You wouldn't believe it, if I did. Now... what are you going to do about your dragon?"
"Oh... um... Well, you know, I just thought I'd...uh..." began Harry. My brother was so clueless.
"Sit." He said. Harry took a chair and sat facing Barty. "Listen to me, Potter. Your pal Diggory, by your age he could turn a whistle into a watch and have it sing you the time. Miss Delacour, she's as much a fairy princess as I am. As for Krum, his head may be filled with sawdust, but Karkaroff's is not. They'll have a strategy, and you can bet that it will play to Krum's strengths. Hmm? Come on, Potter. What are your strengths?"
"Um... I dunno... Well, I can fly. I mean, I'm a fair flyer. But I..." Harry replied.
"Better than fair, the way I heard from your sister." He replied back. He remembers whatever I've told him!!!!
"But, I'm not allowed a broom." Harry said.
"You're allowed a wand." Barty said. Harry sprung up from his seat as he ran. "Where is off to?"
"To Miss Granger." I said.
"Why are you avoiding me?" he asked.
"I'm not. Just busy with my NEWTs you know." I giggled as I left in a hurry. Talk of awkward.
