Peters fake injury part 2

Since the whole injured leg fiasco may found out what happened and after a game night may dared peter to do it again but to prank not only the avengers but his friends as well to see what they would react like as last time they were in on it. The next time he had an opening was a few months after he "injured" his knee.

On the last day he was supposed to stay at mays he hatched his plan. He got out the old crutches he was using as well as the old pill bottle. He also bought a wrist brace as well as a newer knee brace just so that they knew he wasn't just using the old brace for a trick and a few of those strawberry vitamins to put in the pill bottle.

He left the house and started heading to school. He started to think about if he really wanted to prank all his loved ones but it was too late he already left and if he was late to school again he was going to get a week of detentions.

Peter arrived at school and went to the usual spot he meets his friends and they were already there. He mentally prepared for a bombardment of questions and limped over to them. Ned and MJ started throwing questions at him as he expected but this time he was prepared, he made up a story last night that he was out on patrol and that he got pushed off a roof. This lie was actually not too fake as the night before he made sure he went out as Spider-Man and got into a brawl that would surely catch the news so that his lie was as believable as possible. He told MJ and Ned the story and they went on their day as normal as soon as MJ gave her normal you need to watch out for things like this on patrol speech.

Peter went through the day as normal. It was a Friday so he didn't have P.E. Which meant he got to avoid flash all day which was a bonus because knowing flash he would have sent Peter flying into a wall calling him punny because he gets hurt so easily.

Time skip to the end of the day...

Peter had asked happy if he would drive him home, he didn't say why though. Happy was fine doing so as he usually picked Peter up most days. Happy was standing outside of the car waiting for Peter when he sat him limping with his crutches and for a split second Peter swore he could have detected a tone of sympathy from happy before he just opened the door and waited for Peter to struggle getting in.

When they arrived at the tower Peter was getting a bit nervous as he knew most of the avengers were going to be home today. When the elevator came to a stop Peters worst nightmare occurred. All of them were sitting on the couch watching a film together. As soon as they heard the faint sound of crutches creeping up on them they all turned around. Tony was the first to run up to him trying to bring him to the middle of the couch to sit him down, just before interrogating him.

Natasha started by asking what happened and Peter of course responded with the story about the patrol last night and how he fell off the building which is what hurt his knee and his wrist. Before he mentioned his wrist no one seemed to even notice it so when they did their worried looks became even worse if that was even possible. Bruce then started with his doctor spiel, asking how long he has to be in both braces and Peter extended the period this time around he said about two weeks in both the knee and the wrist brace.

Bruce, after giving a sympathetic look then moved onto asking him if he was able to take either or both of the braces off this time, seeing as Peter knew this question was going to come, he prepared earlier by using some of aunt mays makeup and putting purple, green and blue eyeshadow as fake bruising all over his wrist and knee. He didn't know how much bruising there should be after one night but he took a rough guess.

Peter thought it would be more believable if he took off both of them just to get Bruce to help convince everyone that he really was hurt.

So peter took off his wrist brace first, groaning in pain every few seconds after unwrapping the protection for his wrist. Bruce widened his eyes as soon as he seen the mostly purple bruise. He spoke out loud to the room but mainly Peter and asked if Peter was in a great deal of pain because this looked pretty bad. Peter answered quickly "y-yeah it's n-n-not too bad but it still h-h-hurts quite a b-bit." Peter started to get worried because there was a lot more fake bruising on his knee than his wrist.

When Bruce had fully inspected his wrist and concluded that it needed some ice and to be elevated some more. Then Bruce asked to see peters knee and Peter decided it would be best to just show them the "damage" but he asked Bruce to be very careful as the doctor told him that it was a very bad hit he took to the knee. Peter just wanted to prepare Bruce for the amount of bruising he was about to see.

Peter tore back the brace that was holding his knee in a safe place making sure to act as though it was causing his knee great discomfort to move it out of the support. Bruce and everyone else gasped when they saw the injury their favourite young team member had sustained. Bruce said immediately "there is no way you are going out on patrol for at least three weeks, this isn't good Peter. I want to keep you on bed rest for the next day or two because this really looks painful."

Everyone in the room looked at Peter even more pitiful that they were before. After Peter put back on the knee brace he was told by Bruce that he should either get into his bed or get into a comfier position on the couch so he can easily elevate his injury's. Peter went to stand up, wincing whilst doing so, and tony starting pushing him back down stating that cap should carry him to his room and Peter fought back saying that he has been walking on crutches all day and that he can easily do it himself. Bruce jumped in and said that it would be better if cap carried him because he was quite badly injured.

After Peter was put into his bed by a worried cap Bruce helped Peter put his knee and his wrist up on some pillows whilst everyone else gathered around him on chairs or in the big bed next to him to watch some more films at peters request.
Peter then remembered that he forgot his bag earlier and asked if someone could go get it. Tony offered to go and so he did. When Tony got to the bag it was slightly opened and when he picked it up a pill bottle fell out of the bag.

When tony appeared back at the door of peters room he came in, dropped the bag off and asked if he could have a word with Bruce outside. Bruce walked out to talk to tony and was shortly asked what the label/prescription meant on the pill bottle. Bruce told Tony that these were some pretty powerful painkillers and asked where he got them. When tony said that they came from peters school bag Bruce rushed back into the room to ask Peter if he was given them for this injury.

Peter was anxiety ridden as Bruce looked very concerned looking down at the bottle yet Peter said that yes they were for his current injury. Bruce then asked if he had some today and Peter responded yes. Bruce was relieved because he did wonder why Peter didn't look to pain ridden when he was touching his hurt knee as it really did look awful. Peter sighed and assured Bruce that the doctor told him to take one a day for 4-5 or until he doesn't need any pain relief.

Bruce was still questioning Peter after the fact about if he needed more pillows or if he needed a hot water bottle or food. Peter wanted to take some worry off Bruce's mind and so he asked him to get and ice pack for his leg. Bruce of course went to get one and came back just as another film was starting. Peter finally looked less tense so everyone though he was just in less pain but in reality he was just glad that no one knew he was faking.

Skip two weeks...

After two weeks Peter was mainly ready to stop using his crutches instructed by Bruce. And he had stopped wearing the wrist brace the day before. Peter was still limping after the two weeks of "healing". Fury called a meeting for all the avengers including Peter. When fury got there everyone was sat down already. Fury then went into what the meeting was called for which was for everyone to go to mandatory training once a week starting today. During the meeting Peter looked at Bruce and Bruce was mouthing to stay behind after the meeting presumably to talk to fury.

After the meeting Bruce and Peter were the only ones left fury asked why they weren't leaving and Bruce started to go on telling him that Peter couldn't attend this week and probably not next week because of his injury. Fury looked concerned and asked what happened. Peter was taken back because fury never usually shows any care or interest and so Peter started to tell him about what happened and fury excused him from both this week, next week and the week after that's training session just to make sure he would be fully alright.
