Tonys twist

Bruce and Tony were down in the lab for the the last five hours before that they had both just woken up after a lab binge and usually they were forced to be social for a while but the others didn't see a point especially when they had a meeting scheduled for 6pm anyway. Tony really hadn't slept but didn't bother telling anyone, he knew if he did they would end up telling pepper and he would just get screamed at and after being up for 75hrs he really wasn't up for being yelled at.

It was currently 5pm and Bruce was preoccupied with his own project and Tony with his when the avengers alert went off. Tony just sighed too tired to care and Bruce went as fast as he could to the helicarrier.

Skip to after the battle...

Tony was now 78hrs without sleep and soon Jarvis would have to inform pepper due to the protect iron protocol. Tony knew this and ended up going to his room to shower and try sleep also to avoid going to medical because tony knew something was up with his wrist after that fight he had with that one alien. He twisted his wrist way to much and it has been throbbing in pain since.

After lying in bed for an hour after his shower Tony heard pepper coming in. He mentally prepared himself for the yelling that was about to take place when all he heard was a gentle voice asking "are you alright honey?" Tony didn't expect that question so he just sat up in the dark room and said "what?" So pepper said "Bruce said you skipped medical earlier and Jarvis told me you haven't slept in over 80hrs, so what's up Tony are you alright?" By this point the lights were on and pepper could see Tony's sunken in eyes.

Tony just sighed shakily and croaked out "I didn't want to go to medical because I was really tired." Pepper immediately knew he was lying, Tony would never admit to being tired. "Look honey I know you haven't been to sleep in a very long time but you've got to be checked by Bruce." Pepper was speaking softly because she knew if she tried to be firm Tony would be much less willing to be medically checked by Bruce. And so tony agreed with pepper to get checked and pepper said "Bruce is already on his way up, don't worry honey it will only take a few minutes and then I'll come to bed and cuddle with you and you can finally sleep."

Tony and pepper waited in the room until they heard a knock at the door "come in" pepper said. Then Bruce stepped into the room with a large black bag presumably with medical supplies in it.

Bruce made his way over to his friend who was sat up in the bed. He checked Tony's heart beat which was regular and then over his entire visible body for any large bruises or gashes. Bruce then asked "tony I need you to be serious, do you have any injury's you haven't told me about right now?" Tony was about to lie before he looked at pepper and she was giving him a glare that scared him into saying "ummm yeah I guess." Bruce was in shock but knew he had to ask what happened "I was fighting with one of the aliens and it got hold of my wrist and twisted it too far." Bruce smiled at Tony as reassurance and went into his medical bag to grab some medical tape and medical bandages. Bruce wrapped Tony's wrist and told him to take some of the meds that he will give him a bottle of once a day for 3-4 days. Bruce also told tony that he would need to come back to medical tomorrow once he had had a full nights sleep.

After Bruce had left it was just pepper and tony and after the day tony had he couldn't be more thankful than to be in bed with his wife at this moment.

The next day Tony was begrudgingly brought to medical by pepper, who took the day off, and brought Tony straight to where Bruce was sitting. Tony was told to lie on the bed and sit his arm on the rest that was a flat table connected and pulled out of the bed. After doing so Bruce brought down the X-ray machine and took a photo of Tony's wrist. He concluded that there was not break but it was a nasty sprain. Bruce decided to give Tony an actual wrist brace for the next few weeks he had to wear it.

Tony of course after a week took off the brace because he thought it was embarrassing but Bruce chased him down and put it right back on him.
