Korbin comes back with the food and places mines in front of me.
"First. She's not my girlfriend. And Secondly that has nothing to do with me." He says as he takes a bite into his burger.

"Well I always see y'all together." I say as I shrug my shoulders. He smirks as the words come out my mouth. I take a bite into my burger and almost roll my eyes from how good it is. Damn.

"You been checking for me?" He says and looks up from his food. Like eye contact is already too intimate if you ask me. Like why are you staring into my soul sir?

It's literally like you're staring into someone's soul and he does that on a regular like he has no problem doing it. Does he wake up every morning and decides that he wants to ruin lives with the way he looks at you.

"Boy ain nobody checking for you, if anything you checking for me. You invited me out to eat." I say sipping my Dr.pepper.

"We have a project Saraii. I can't get a F. And I never denied that I wasn't checking for you. You've honestly just don't know how to handle your emotions well." He says as he shrugs his shoulders.

How is he going to tell me that I don't know how to handle my emotions well.

"This conversation isn't going anywhere. Let's just change the topic. When do you wanna begin this project?" I say changing the subject.

He smirks at me and shakes his head chuckling. "We can do it this weekend." I don't have practice on Saturday and my parents are going on a convention. So you can come over at anytime but I'll text you." He says.

The thought of being alone in his house is making me extremely nervous and I really don't wanna do anything that I'll regret.

"Okay, well here put your number in my phone." I say finna hand my phone over. I toss a fry into my mouth.

"No need, I already got your number." He says finishing his food.

"I'm not even going to ask how you got my number." I say as I shake my head.
