Logan Henderson is at his house playing video games. Since his three best friends had girlfriends, he feels more and more isolated from everything. His friends have happy relationships, but he still hasn't been able to find the right girl for him. So now he's been spending a lot of his time with himself, alone and lonely.

In the afternoon, his eyes hurt from gaming, so he decides to go out for a skateboard ride.
The ride ends in the park, where he sits down on a bench. And as he thinks about his lonely situation, he suddenly hears the crying of a little girl. Feeling a desperate need to do something useful with his time, he gets up and follows that sound.
"Mom, I'm so hungry, can I please eat something?" asks the little girl.

"I just said no," the woman replies as she continues to eat her sandwich.
"Please Mom, I'm so hungry, I haven't eaten in days."
"If you ask me one more time, you'll go to bed without food tonight as well."

Logan approaches slowly so he can get a better look.
"Mom, please, I'm just asking you for one small bite," the little girl tries again in a pleading voice.
"That's it," the woman says angrily, stands up, and grabs the girl roughly by the arm. "I warned you, you're going to bed tonight without food." She pulls the squirming little girl with her.

"Mom, you're hurting me," the girl protests during tears.
It breaks Logan's heart as he watches this scene. The little girl walks past him. Logan wants to cheer her up a little and smiles at her. Briefly, she smiles back at him, then she continues to follow her mother.
Logan and the rest of the guys are in the studio, rehearsing new songs for the show.

"Guys, in two days you're going to perform at the Forum here in Los Angeles and it's getting better, the show is sold out," announces a man of the band management people, whose name Logan can't remember anyway. There are just too many people constantly telling him what to do, where he has to be, at what time and in what place.

"Gosh, I don't believe it." James looks happily surprised.
"We will sing at the Forum," Carlos calls out excitedly.
"I'm glad you're taking the news well, but now you have to keep practicing, we can't afford it if you make a mistake during the concert and end up breaking your legs." With that, the man turns and walks away while Logan rolls his eyes in annoyance.

The day of the concert:

"Guys, are your girls here too?" Carlos asks as he watches the people looking for their seats.
"Yes, Katelyn and Malese are already sitting in their reserved seats," James replies with a grin. Logan felt a little uncomfortable at the thought that he didn't have anyone special coming out to watch and support him.
"Hey man, what's going on?" Kendall asks, apparently noticing Logan's expression.
Logan sighs. He's a little embarrassed about talking about his feelings in front of his buddy.
"It's just ... you and the boys have Katelyn, Alexa, and Malese ... and I have no one. And to be honest, this situation is starting to weigh on me ... a lot."
"Don't worry, Loges. You will find the perfect girl for you."
"Yeah, right," Logan replies with a snore.
"You'll see, I promise. And now let's forget about that and focus on giving our fans an unforgettable concert," Kendall says smiling, giving Logan a pat on the shoulder.

The concert was a complete success and after freshening up in their dressing rooms, the boys now go backstage to get something to eat.
"I thought fans weren't allowed in for a few hours," Kendall says, confused as he sees that cute little girl sitting at one of the tables.

"I'll take care of it," Logan says as he walks towards the little girl, who looks pretty lonely.
He feels like he's seen her somewhere before.
"Hi sweetheart, what's your name?" Logan asks gently when he reaches the girl. But she's so scared that she doesn't answer him and just stares at Logan. Suddenly Logan remembers. She is the girl he saw in the park with her mother two days ago.

"Don't worry, sweetie, I'm here to help," Logan explains, kneeling down so they're at the same eye level.

"Chloe," the little girl says quietly, without taking her eyes off Logan.
"That's a beautiful name, I'm Logan. You remember me? We saw each other in the park."
The girl named Chloe nods. Logan notices that her clothes are dirty, and she has bruises on her arms. "Honey, where is your mother?
Your dad?" But at his words, Chloe suddenly starts to cry.
"Hey, don't worry, little bear," Logan says, giving her a comforting hug. When he sees that she has calmed down a little, he asks,
"Sweetheart, how old are you?"
Chloe holds up Three fingers.
"Dude, what's going on?" Kendall asks when he comes over.

"This is Chloe, I saw her in the park with her mother a few days ago. She was pretty mean to the girl and treated her badly. I just asked her if she was alone," Logan explains the situation.
"Just look at her clothes and hair, I don't think she has someone with her," Kendall says, frowning. "What are you going to do?"
Logan looks thoughtfully at the little girl. He knows he should call for help, and he is surprised to realize that a big part of him wants to take care of the child by himself. At least for today. She looks so damn lost, which reminds him of his own situation and loneliness. And he can always tell someone
tomorrow.
"If she wants, 'll take her home with me," he says firmly. Kendall raises his eyebrows in surprise but doesn't say anything. Logan turns back to Chloe. "What do you say, you want to come home with me?"
Chloe's eyes light up like a Christmas tree.

Logan's house:

"Loges, are you sure you don't need help?"
Kendall asks uncertainly.
"Yeah, don't worry guys. "I'll be fine," Logan replies.
"Alright, but if you need anything, call us," James says before he and the other two leave the house.
Logan looks at Chloe and briefly, just for a second, the thought occurs to him that he's completely insane. How could he ever be able to take care of a child all by himself? But then he remembers the reason why he took her with him, and the insecurity disappears. He also remembers the scene in the park and decides to make her something to eat.
As it turns out, this was the right decision.
Chloe literally attacks the food with pure joy, which makes Logan even more sad. He wonders what suffering that poor child has already had to endure. The sight of her is heartbreaking. She has eaten, but that's not all she needs, as Logan suddenly realizes.
"Princess, would you like me to bathe you so you can clean yourself?"
"Yes. Thank you, Logan."
The fact that this sweet girl is grateful for something that is completely commonplace for everyone else seems to make Logan's heart break a little more. He takes her small hand in his and leads her to the bathroom. As he washes her, he notices more injuries and bruises on her body, which makes him sad and angry.

Once she's clean, he dries her, including her beautiful brown hair, and puts one of his t-shirts on her. Of course it's far too big for her, but that's all he can give her at the moment.
"So, all clean, what do you want to do now?" he asks.
"TV," Chloe replies cheerfully. Logan is pleased that he seems to have managed to cheer her up a little. "Okay," he says, picking her up and carrying her to the large couch in the living room.

After an hour, he realizes with a surprised smile that Chloe has fallen asleep with her head on his chest. He carefully picks her up and takes her up to the guest room. There he laid her gently on the bed. Despite his best efforts to let her sleep, Chloe briefly wakes up. "Logan ... can I sleep in your room?" she asks sleepily.

"Sure, Chloe," Logan says with a smile, carrying her into his room and setting her down on the bed. While Chloe falls asleep again, Logan goes into the bathroom and changes for the night. Then he sits down on the bed next to Chloe. He watches her sleep for a while and thinks, trying to understand how something so terrible could have happened to her. He thinks about this situation for a long time, then he falls asleep.
