Chloe plays with Carlos while Logan talks to James and Kendall.

"So, what are your plans for Chloe?" Kendall asks.

"I don't know, Kendall. I think I'll either call someone to take her to a home or go to the police," Logan says a little hesitantly.

"So you don't want her to stay with you?" James asks.

"I don't think so. I wouldn't be a good caretaker, I can barely take care of myself, and she deserves a better life than the one I can give her," Logan says, taking a sip of his tea.

Suddenly, they hear a dull thud and turn around. Chloe lies on the ground, holding her stomach. Logan immediately rushes to her. "Chloe!"

But Chloe just continues to hold her stomach.

"Chloe, please tell me what's wrong," Logan begs, feeling panic rising up in him.

"Tummy hurts," she whimpers in pain.

"Guys, what should we do?" James asks, panicking as well.

"Hospital!" Logan decides quickly, picks Chloe up and carries her to the car.

"We're coming with you," Carlos and James call at the same time.

"I'll drive," Kendall says.

At the hospital:

"Chloe's family?" comes the voice of a doctor in a white coat.

"This is us," Logan says, rushing over to him. "How is she?"

"Unfortunately, not very well. She has a swelling in her stomach, a tumor. We need to take a sample of it as quickly as possible to find out whether it is benign or not. Then we can operate," explains the doctor with a serious expression on his face.

"But she'll get better, won't she, doctor?" Logan asks worriedly.

"We are doing what we can, she will get the best possible care," assures the doctor. "Don't worry, your daughter is in best hands."

"Oh ... no sir, I'm not his father. Her parents abandoned her, and I found her."

"I see, then I have to call someone to take care of her," says the doctor and walks away.

The guys are still in the waiting room while Chloe is in surgery.

"Dude, I know you're worried, but would you mind sitting down for just two minutes?" Kendall asks Logan, nervous and irritated.

"You shouldn't be so upset," James tries his luck.

"You'll see, everything will be fine," Carlos assures.

"Do you really think she'll be okay?" Logan asks worriedly.

"Of course," Kendall replies. "But now sit down and try to calm down," he adds, patting his friend on the shoulder.

"Chloe?" says the doctor as he enters the hallway. The guys jump up immediately.

"The tumor got removed, but unfortunately it was malignant ... But it was just at the beginning and hasn't done much damage yet."

"Oh, thank God," Carlos groans in relief.

"But there is something else ... Chloe is in a coma."

Tears immediately come to Logan's eyes.

"When will she wake up?" Kendall asks.

"It's hard to say, it could take days, months, years ... Maybe she won't wake up at all ..."

They are sitting in the hallway outside of Chloe's room.

"I can't believe something so bad could happen to such a sweet girl, especially after everything she had to endure," Carlos says sadly.

"Yes," Logan whispers.

Two people approach them, the doctor who is accompanied by a woman.

"Guys, this is Mrs. Allison, she works at the orphanage," the doctor introduces her.

"Why is she here?" Kendall asks

"Now that Chloe has been abandoned by her parents, she will come to an orphanage," Mrs. Allison explains.

"Chloe is in a coma, come with me, I'll offer you a coffee," the doctor says, and they walk away.

"Poor Chloe," James murmurs.

"I need fresh air," Logan says and disappears.

After walking around for a while, Logan returns to Chloe's room. Meanwhile the boys' girlfriends have arrived. Logan stops on his way to hear what they're saying.

"Poor little girl," Katelyn murmurs sadly.

"Right now, I wish I had Chloe's mother in front of me so I can punch her in the face," Malese adds angrily.

"Indeed, how can someone abandon their own daughter?" Alexa asks.

Logan waits for them to leave, then he enters Chloe's room.

His heart aches at the sight of the four-year-old child in a hospital bed, surrounded and hooked up to various medical devices. Logan walks up to her and takes her hand.

"Chloe, it's Logan," he whispers softly, stroking her hand, hoping she'll feel it and open her eyes. "I'm sorry for everything that happened to you, do you remember last night ...? I told you that you don't have to worry anymore because you're safe with me. Well, I was wrong ... But I promise you, when you wake up, I will fight. I will take care of you, I ..." He pauses, the uncertainty and helplessness are coming back. Tears well up in his eyes. He doesn't want to lose Chloe, he wants to be there for her. But how? How on earth is he supposed to take care of a child, how is he supposed to give her all the love she needs when he is desperately looking for love as well? Not the love from his family in Texas, a different kind of love.

Because one thing is very clear to him, he will never be able to take care of Chloe when he is so unhappy and lonely. He needs help, needs to talk to someone. Not the guys, not their girlfriends, someone else. There's only one person he can think of. But this person could make things even more complicated ...
