A Visit

Fifteen minutes later I was opening the door to the parlor, and sure enough, in my parlor was Queen Mariland Arrea Willamer seated on my couch. She was queen of Scots, and my old mentor. She is old, but still classy. White hair and wrinkles have taken her, but she still manages to look powerful. With perfect posture and a brain and tongue sharper than broken glass, she navigated me in the ways of being a queen. Accompanying her were two tall guards with the Scottish emblem.
"Hello Juliette, dear," She says with a sly grin.
"Wonderful to see you Mariland, must say I wasn't expecting you anytime soon."
"I'm sorry for barging in. I simply wanted an excuse to come visit."
"Ah, how long will you be staying?" I said
"Not long I'm afraid. I would like to invite you to a party of mine, a week from tomorrow, to celebrate my son's beginning search for a bride!"
"Oh Mariland darling I will have to see." I said hesitantly, before sighing. "I do desperately need a getaway."
"One more thing before I must go unfortunately. I believe you have captured someone of mine recently. His name is Ezra Archer."
My mind went blank. I slowly, carefully started."I recently captured him, for being a part of a rebel clan in my empire, and for stealing. He has not completed his sentence yet."
"If you wouldn't mind dear, I would like him released please, and my country will take care of him. He is a Lord of my Courts, and I'm afraid it will be detrimental to my daughters health to remove him." She says "Funny story actually. I found Ezra in the gutters, he had a Satonian accent, so I figured he was fine, and I let him stay in my stables as a horse boy. He then saved my daughter, Loraleis' life a year ago, when she was nearly trampled by a horse. I then promoted him to a Lord in thanks." She chuckled to herself.
How could I explain what he did? She would be mad if I did not tell her all these years. I cannot deny her though. The only way to keep her as an ally would be "Yes, Mariland I suppose I can do that for you."

Ezra was let out, with a smug grin on his face.
