Percy Jackson and Harry Potter: Truth or Dare (FanFic)

Harry

Jason's POV:

He's going to choose that boy with green eyes and dark hair. He looked somewhat like Percy... but he had this thin lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.

"You're next." he pointed at Harry.

The wizards and witches seemed animated.

"Select" Harry said. But Ron was shouting, "You can do better than that! Choose dare!"

"But Ron-"

"Potter, running away from a chance of glory again, are we?" Draco sneered, his signature smirk playing on his face. "Maybe he's afraid he'll end up with another scar. The second one might not look as heroic, wouldn't you say?"

Ginny: "Oh, please. Harry's faced more dangers before breakfast than you've seen in a lifetime. A scar? It's a mark of his bravery, not something to mock. And unlike some of us, he doesn't need to hide behind his father and a pure-blood pedigree."

Unable to resist, Ron added, "Yeah, imagine Draco with a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. It might improve his attitude."

Draco, now thoroughly annoyed, "I'd rather not stoop to imitating Potter's fashion choices."

Harry: "Since Draco insists, I'll go with a dare."

Jason had a good one, "Alright, Harry, I dare you to ride a pegasus around the camp while shouting, 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!'"

Piper added, "And to make it even more interesting, wear these." She gave him a pair of Luna Lovegood-style Spectrespecs and handed them to Harry. "For a touch of magical flair, you know?"

Jason winked, waiting to see how Harry would react to this ridiculous dare.

Harry's POV:

He had ridden a Hippogriff before. And just last year he had ridden a Thestral. He could do that, right?

"I accept. Where are the pegasi?"

Jason and Percy led him to the stables.

Blackjack: Yo, boss! Long time no fly!

Percy: "Hey, Blackjack! I need a favour."

Blackjack: "Got any sugar cubes?"

Percy: "You know the answer to that. I've got a friend here who needs a ride. You up for a little joyride around camp?"

Blackjack: (snorting) "You know I'm always up for some airtime. Who's the lucky passenger?"

Percy: (nodding towards Harry) "Meet Harry. He's a wizard."

Blackjack: (Eyeing Harry sceptically) "Wizard, huh? Well, as long as he's not packing any lightning bolts," (Looking at Jason) "I suppose I can manage. "

Harry: (approaching Blackjack) "Hi there. Mind giving me a lift, big guy? And don't mind if I shout a bit."

Blackjack: (bowing his head) "The pleasure's mine. Climb on."

Percy: "You should be comfortable."

Harry: "Sure, I have some experience with this kind of thing."

And then, they took off.

Woah! just the same as riding a Thestral. Harry thought. The breeze on Harry's face was comfortable. And Blackjack adjusted to his every command.

"I SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I AM UP TO NO GOOD!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. Campers from different cabins were getting out to see the source of the noise.

"I SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I AM UP TO NO GOOD!"

Then they landed in front of the Zeus cabin. He slid off Blackjack and patted him. People were laughing and pointing at him. He went through this kind of thing on a daily basis and he didn't mind it. 

Ron: "Well done mate!"

Then he saw Draco, looking furious. Apparently, he hoped he'd fall off and break something.

"Draco, you want a turn?"

He could see Draco's face flushing. He knew what he was thinking. The whole Hippogriff incident was still in his mind. Harry gave a satisfied smirk.

Jason: "You'd make a good rider. It's your first time on a pegasus right?"

Harry: "Yes, but I have been on flying creatures before."

Jason: "Well, it looks like you've passed the flying initiation at Camp Half-Blood. Maybe we should get you an official demigod pilot's license."

Harry: (smirking) "Wouldn't that be something? 'Harry Potter, licensed pegasus pilot.'"

Percy: "Hey, Blackjack, I think we've found a co-pilot for you."

Blackjack: (nudging Harry with his snout) "As long as he's got some sugar cubes, I'm good."
