The Boy

Cam stayed with Clara the entire night even though his shift finished hours ago he made a promise to the girl to stay with her.
"C-cam?"
"Hey!" He whispered "I'm still here don't worry"
She had gotten moved up to the ward in the middle of the night where Cam had met her.
Her brother had apparently came to visit before starting his night shift again and brought her some spare clothes and pyjamas and obviously her little comfort teddy bear.
"Thank you for keeping your promise, but you can go if you need to I-I'll be fine I think"
"No there's no where I need to be right now, don't start my shift for another 5 hours and even then Jodie will probably cover for me anyway she knows where I am"
"Jodie? Your girlfriend?"
"Nooooo! She'd never fancy me even in the slightest, she's just my best friend!"
"Come on Cam you're super cute, pretty handsome and incredibly kind. What's not to like?"
"You really think so?"
"I know so Cam! Any girl will be lucky to have you! Heck even I would, you've stayed with me all this time and you don't even know me!"
"Okay! Then tell me more about you, Max is your uncle? Iain's your brother? What's next?"
"Um! Jodie's my cousin!"
"Woah, what! She never mentioned anything about family, wait so that means Max is her dad? We all thought they were a secret fling?"
"We what!" She laughed
"No she's my cousin don't you worry!"
Cam smiled holding her hand again
"Please be honest with me here, my ankle. Will I ever dance on it again?"
"Clara like your Uncle Max I'd love to give you an honest answer but I don't want to give you false hope"
She sighs
She looks at the time it's 11:30 pm
"I think I'm going to head to bed now, I'm super tired"
"Would you um like me to stay?"
"It's up to you, if you have things to do i really don't want to stop you"
Cam smiles looking down kinda shy and nervous
"Um well I start work at 9am, I can come back just before I start my shift if you want? They'll have you up doing your OBS anyway"
"Please come back I um really enjoy your company"
"You do?" He turns bright red
Clara nods
"Clara before I go, can I tell you something?"
"Of course"
"I-I um... don't worry it doesn't matter I'll tell you again sometime"
"Oh um, okay it's fine"
Clara tucks herself in and makes sure she's warm!
Cam grabs his jacket and puts it over his own clothes as he'd already changed out of his scrubs before seeing Clara

Jodie comes out of the staff room to see Cam sat in there
"Cam? You okay? You don't start until 9?"
"Um your cousin, Clara she up on the ward she um really hurt herself during an audition and because Iain couldn't stay with her I said I would stay with her. I um hope you don't mind"
"Woah wait slow down cam, you know she's my cousin?"
"I kinda worked it out, it wasn't that difficult to anyway!"
"Well yeah and I guess you gathered that Max is my dad as well then? You can't tell anyone especially Ryan and Rida"
"Right um I need to get home to get some sleep"
"See you tomorrow Cam" She gives him a hug goodbye
