Clara was finally after two weeks in the hospital being released, Cam had just finished his shift so was going straight up to the ward to grab Clara and take her back to his shared apartment with Jodie and Rida.
Clara- "Now are you sure they don't mind me staying with you for a little bit"
Cam- "Of course not, you already know Jodie and Rida is a right laugh"
Clara smiles grabbing her stuff, giving them to Cam and using her crutches to get her out of there!
Iain- "Sorry you can't come back and stay at mine, but I'll be sure to drop some of your things off. Come here Clare Bear"
Clara goes in to hug her older brother
Clara- "Thank you Iain"
Cam and Clara get into a taxi on their way to Cam's house. They finally make it, and Clara steps in.
Clara- "Wow! This place is amazing!"
Cam smiles at her, whilst Jodie is in the kitchen making some lunch for them all as Cam was on the night shift with Jodie but she finished a little earlier than Cam but they both have a couple days off now, Rida as well but she finishes later than the rest of them!
Jodie- "You alright little cousin! Let me take your bags" She whispers to Cam "your room yeah?" He nods
Clara admires the view from the living room window of the whole of the London skyline as they live just within distance of being able to see it.
Cam- "And at least with our place there's not stairs to get to to my room!"
Clara- "I'm staying in y-your room?"
Cam- "Oh um that is okay yeah? Or I mean you can stay with Jodie if you'd like?"
Clara- "I'm just messing with you Cam, it's fine!"
Quite a few hours later and it had gotten dark, Clara hadn't moved from her spot on the sofa until she heard the door go. The rest of them were in bed so she slowly hobbled over and answered it, wasn't who she though it was going to be. But it was her dad who she probably hadn't seen in 5 years.
Clara- "D-dad?" She had a scared look on her face as he looked angry.
Dad- "WHERE'S THE KID WHO ALMOST KILLED YOU? he pushes past Clara, who now has gone into panic mode and the rest of them had been woken up by all the commotion.
Jodie- "U-uncle S-Steve"
Cam has taken Clara from the living space into his room as he didn't want her seeing this.
Her dad comes into the room a grabs Cam by the scruff of his neck and starts punching the crap out of him.
Clara- "DAD STOP YOU'RE GONNA KILL HIM"
Clara starts crying and getting super scared, she goes out to find Jodie on the phone to the paramedics.
Clara- "J-jodie h-he's gonna k-kill him..."
Jodie- "We need to stay calm, for Cam okay"
Clara nods
Clara- "Dad please, h-he's my b-boyfriend..."
By the point Cam was unconscious and covered in blood.
Clara just stood there in shock that her dad has just done something so awful.
Steve- "He deserved every lunch I gave him for doing this to you"
He ran out of the door.
Clara- "You don't understand dad, I did this to myself"
There was another knock at the door, the paramedics. Iain was on the team so while the others went to work on Cam, Iain went straight to comforting his sister.
Their dad had already done a runner.
Iain- "What the hell happened Clara?
Clara- "I-it was dad... He's back and beat the shit out of Cam after he somehow found out? Was it you? Was it you that called him to tell him?
Iain shook his head, but had an idea who could've informed their dad on her hospital stay.
Iain- "I think it was Gem..."
Clara- "YOU TOLD GEM AND NOW PUT MY BOYFRIEND'S LIFE AT RISK"
Iain-"Look I'm sorry Clara but she was worried someone posted a video on social media of your fall, she asked if it was you and I said yes. She must've told dad. Again I'm sorry"
She looks back at the paramedics working on Cam and then to Jodie who is hovering over her best friend for comfort.
Clara- "Jodie, he's gonna be okay right? Should I call his parents, no I can't do that I haven't even met them this can't be the first time we meet." She looks down scared for Cam.
Jodie puts an arm around the worried girl.
Jodie- "Hey, Cam will pull through I promise he's stronger than you think!"
The paramedics take him off in the ambulance.
