DJ found me a couple weeks ago now... he's the sweetest human I've ever met, though for my young age, I suppose that's not saying a lot.

I remember a few weeks after I was born, a bunch of men came onto this island and started planting cameras everywhere! They also started clearing patches of trees to create cabins, stages, and more. At first, I didn't understand, but one of my brothers told me it was for a human viewing service. The two of us started spending our free time watching them set things up.

We quickly learned that there would be a group of teenagers coming to the island in the summer for a show called "Total Drama Island". The host was a wide smiled, stuck up man, who seemed to expect everyone to read his mind. It seemed important that everything was how he wanted it to be. He also had a Chef that followed him around, though I always thought chefs only served food...

A week or two before the teens came to the island, a small boat arrived, unloading a small trailer with all kinds of human stuff inside! My brother and I were so excited to see what was inside of it, but sadly, we never got to... the trailer ran over my brother on its way in.

The two of us were just then old enough to live on our own, so I had no one left... I always roamed the forest alone, and struggled to make due.

But then, ironically enough, when I was looking for food one day, I met the sweetest human!

He and a group of teenagers were walking through the forest. I remember Katie spotted me, a friend of DJ's who I got to know better later. An uptight brunette tried to get DJ to leave me alone, but I'm happy she didn't succeed. DJ picked me up and the two of us had an immediate connection!

From that day on, the two of us were practically inseparable, unless I had to stay in the cabin... but DJ loved taking me to the kitchen with him. He'd even let me try a few of the dishes. I could tell he was under a lot of stress, but I never really understood why until DJ and Katie got close.

Katie lost her friend Sadie, which reminded me a lot of how I lost my brother... DJ tried his best to help her, and at first she was very hard to get through to, but eventually, with my help of course, the two of them were able to move past it a little.

Everything was fine until one night, DJ's cabin had been set on fire! Thankfully, Katie saved me, but that wasn't the least of my worries...

One night, there was a scary creature... Maybe it was a man? Either way, it chased down all the campers, and didn't rest until it found its victim.

At the time though, I didn't understand what was going on... I tried to follow DJ, but I soon found myself lost in the woods! I had usually always stayed on one side of the island, but now I was in an entirely new area. Since then, I've been wandering about, looking for the campsite. Thankfully, I've just spotted human shoe footprints! The foot size is tiny, but if I can find where they came from, I can find DJ's big footprints.

I've been following them backwards for a while now, and as soon as I spotted a tent, I was very happy. It wasn't one I recognized, but at least it was a sign of human life. I started to investigate the outside of it, but then I saw DJ and another boy from the camp.

"I still think it's weird Izzy just disappeared." The other boy said as I started to jump towards the two, but I stopped when I heard something coming from the woods. My ears perked up as I tried to make out what it was.

"I just hope she's okay... and I hope Owen and Geoff are too." DJ frowned, "What do you think, Cody?" the two of them must not be able to hear-

The two of them froze as the figure from a few nights before tried to walk into the tent, with a needle in hand. All three of them stared at each other before Cody started running, DJ following close behind.

I can't lose DJ again... I followed him as he was chased through the woods. He and the other boy discussed quick strategies as the figure chased them. Cody was going to run back towards camp, and DJ would run the other direction.

I wish I had a way to tell DJ I was there with him, but he was definitely preoccupied. DJ led the figure up a hill, hoping it would give him an opportunity to catch his breath... it didn't.

The figure sent DJ tumbling back down as soon as it got up there. I looked up at the figure, who quickly looked back down at me... they have a strange face...

Either way, once I heard a crunch from down below, I quickly ran down the hill.

I found DJ, littered with forest sticks going through his body, and leaves finding themselves in his clothes. My heart started to speed up as his breathing started to match his cries of pain. I knew there was nothing I could do... I tried to snuggle into his neck, but DJ didn't say anything... maybe he couldn't feel me.

"Mama! Mama, is that you?"

Maybe he could?

"Mama, I love you."

Then he was gone.
