"Izumi, if it comes down to it, we'll need to use our quirks. This guy looks like trouble." Cathleen said. Izumi couldn't tear her eyes away from the person. He had a mane that looked like it was made of fire, and radiated a type of power that made it hard to breathe. She could literally feel the heat emitting from him. It was like standing next to a small sun.
"We're gonna fight him?" Izumi asked. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Her tone may have been hesitant, but regardless, she calmed her nerves and got ready to launch herself at the person in front of them.
He didn't seem to have any malicious intent right now; in fact, he was examining himself. He seemed to have the same mentality as a child who just got his quirk. He touched the fire atop his head, jerking away, before he realized it didn't hurt him. He grunted in surprise, before getting on all fours and bounding over to a car, looking at himself in the window. He touched his reflection, tilting his head curiously.
"Mm... me...?" He spoke. It was as if he had never used his voice before, cracking and hoarse. He grumbled curiously, before standing on two legs and looking around, as if he was fully taking in his surroundings. His gaze landed on Izumi, and she twitched. He tilted his head and began approaching her.
"Stay back!" Izumi warned, a nervous feeling creeping through her body. He paused, and put his hands up. He grunted a couple times before speaking one word.
"I...Izuku."
Izumi's eyes widened. "What did you say?"
"Izuku..."
Izumi's breathing became a bit shorter. "How do you know my brother? What did you do to him?!" She yelled, her body glowing from the stored energy. The man stepped back, shaking his head, but Izumi charged at him, regardless. "Don't touch my brother!" She cocked her arm back before bringing it down on the man's head.
"Izumi, wait!" Cathleen yelled, but it was too late. Izumi's fist made contact. However, it wasn't with the man's face. In a split second, he put his arm up and caught her fist. He was faster than she could comprehend, and he threw her away. She tumbled and hit a car, accidentally releasing some stored energy and destroying the car.
"No!" Cathleen yelled. She ran towards the man, already thinking of what rule to use on him, when a wall of ice was erected between them. Cathleen skid to a halt, looking at the ice, gas rolling off the cold surface. "What the hell?"
"Nobody move." Shoka said. She appeared slightly out of breath, as if she had ran here. Izumi picked herself up, and walked over to the dual-haired girl.
"What are you doing here?" Izumi asked, accusingly. "And where's my brother?"
Shoka turned to the greenette and pointed at the ice wall. "The thing that threw you, that is your brother, my beloved Izuku."
Izumi stated at her, deadpan. "Oookay... There is a lot wrong with that sentence, but I'll start with the biggest thing: I know my brother, and he is not that monkey."
" He may not look it right now, I know. But believe me, my prince is that creature." Shoka argued calmly.
"Okay, stop." Izumi said. "What do you mean, your prince?"
"Your brother, in short, has stolen my heart. I'm inclined to give him my affection and call him by pet names." Shoka said. She clasped Izumi's hands on her own and leaned in. "I hope we can get along, future sister-in-law."
Izumi shoved her away with just a flex of her wrist. "What the hell are you talking about? You're delusional."
"Girls, I think there's something more important here." Cathleen interjected. The two girls looked at the American Hero. "You said that is Izuku, but he's quirkless. Unless..."
