Chapter Twenty

y/n Pov.

"Of all days you choose this day to come?" I asked Damon and walked towards him.

"How long have you been in town?" I asked him another question. He looked at me then at my belly.

"I've been here for a week I think" he told me while still staring at my belly.

"Why would you come here?" I asked him at this point I didn't know we had the whole family behind us listening to everything.

"Just like I said to see if the rumors were true and I guess they are," he said to me. My body started to feel heavy and as I started to feel dizzy Jasper put his arms around my waist and held me.

"Who was this birdie of yours?" Jasper asked Damon. While I was still dizzy, I looked up to him waiting for him to answer the question.

"Elijah told me, even though we are not on good terms he said I had the right to know" he said. Why would my best friend tell him about the baby when I wasn't ready to tell him at all yet.

"When he told me I didn't believe him at first, but Klaus told me it was true, so I had to see it for myself" he said.

"You Thought I was pretending to be pregnant with immortal children?" I asked him.

"Well, when put that way it makes me sound like an asshole" Damon said to me.

"Well yeah that's exactly what you sound like" Alice whispered under her breath. I looked behind me to realize everyone was standing there looking at Damon like an intruder. As I'm looking at everyone else, I didn't realize Damon's eyes stayed on me, but Jasper did. He held me closer to him.

Jasper Pov.

I don't like the way he's looking at her. Why is he staring at it like that?

"Listen y/n I came here to see the babies that's all, can I at least do that?" Damon asked y/n. I looked at her and she looked around at all of us.

'I don't want him near you at all y/n' I thought while looking at her.

"Why" she asked me, everyone looking at us as we spoke. The only ones who know what we're talking about are me, her and Edward.

'I don't like the way he's looking at you' I told her. She looked at me with confused eyes and turned around and looked at Damon who was still staring at her. She looked back at me and nodded her head.

"What if you came with us, how about that?" she asked me, I nodded my head then turned my head to Damon staring at him. I suddenly feel his feelings and I don't like what I'm seeing. Why does he feel excited? Why does he feel anxious? And why do I feel like he's falling for her and at the same time hate her? These feelings are overwhelming me so much I put my hand to my head.

"Are you okay?" y/n and Alice asked me. I shook my head a little and looked at my mates and nodded to them to tell them I'm okay.

"Are you sure?" Alice asked me to make sure and I nodded my head again.

"Well, if you still want to see them you can follow us to my lab" said Carlisle I nodded to him and grabbed y/n hands and put my arms around Alice and we walked back to the lab. As we walked to the I heard Damon walking behind us. Suddenly y/n stopped and held her belly.

"Are you alright y/n?" Damon and I asked her. I looked at him and glared at him hoping he could feel me telling him to back off. But it seems he didn't get the memo of it.

"I'm fine it's just the babies just kicked really hard, and it really hurt that all" she said I nodded and was about to grab her hand, but Damon held it before I could.

"Don't worry I got you" he told her, she nodded her head and got out of his embrace and held my hand and continued to the lab where Carlisle and Alice were waiting. I looked behind me where Damon was and saw he looked down at his hands then looked back up to y/n. He shook his head and walked behind us and walked into the room. I help lay y/n on the bed and Carlisle hook up the ultrasound so we can see those babies again.

"As you can see there are the babies and they're growing pretty fast. I'll say she'll be ready to give birth in two weeks," Carlisle said to us.

"Wow they look beautiful" Damon said I couldn't help but agree with him on that. They were breathtaking and they're not even here yet. I could feel a smile on my face again and I saw the smile on Damon's face as well.

"In two weeks, you say?" y/n asked Carlisle. He nodded and she looked at us.

"Will we be ready by then? I mean in two weeks we'll be bringing two children into the world. Not only that, two immortal kids. What will people think about this? We might need to go into hiding." y/n told us, and we all looked around the room. I don't want to leave my family but if it's for my mate maybe we might need to do that. What would happen if someone found out about us, and something happened to her or the kids?

"Well, I might have an idea," Damon told us.

"What is the idea Damon?" Carlisle asked him. He looked around the room not saying anything.

"Well since you are worried about people finding out about y/n and the babies I was thinking, if you don't mind."

"Why don't you come with me? back to mystic falls."
