I had the best nights sleep. it was hard for me to pull myself out of my new bed but that was probably the best night sleep i've ever had, no more sleeping on thin, flat foam mattresses if you could even call them that. I got up early to make sure I had time to get into the bathroom before anyone else, the night before I had seen their bathroom schedule and since I wasn't on it yet I figured I may as well get up early before anyone is scheduled to use it. I spent an hour on my hair and makeup today, I wanted to make a good impression. New place, new me, I usually didn't make the best first impressions but I figured since I could be here a while it would probably be better.

I walked down the stairs with my backpack on, all of my treasured belongings had been tucked way under my bed so I could use it for school. It was chaos downstairs everyone running to get something to eat and trying to get ready to leave, I could barely hear myself think. I went into the kitchen and immediately saw Cole sitting at the island, I got myself a bagel for breakfast and noticed him looking at me every so often. I usually didn't take an interest in the boys at the foster families home but if I'm being honest Cole is just my type, he probably doesn't feel that way about me though and I could be sent away any day so there's no need to be making any attachments with anybody.

After i sat down beside him he finally said something, "Morning New York," I wasn't in the mood for this today, " Why do you keep calling me New York, my name is Delilah." I responded. He got up bringing his dishes to the sink to wash up, "I know, I'm bringing you to school in 10 minutes so be ready or you'll be left behind." I rolled my eyes and finished up my breakfast.

I heard the car beep so i ran outside seeing it filled with all of the boys. Great, i thought to myself. I got in and sat in the very back where only Alex was sitting his head in a book like yesterday, "Hey watcha reading," i asked him.
"Oh, this is one of my favourite books i can lend it to you if you want to read it when i'm done," he responded looking up smiling at me. I hadn't noticed before the amount of freckles he had or how his eyes lit up when he smiled, "Yeah maybe i'll give it a go it looks good," i say ending the conversation and putting my headphones on. I looked out the windows and i could still feel his eyes on me and when he finally looked away i looked up to the front of the car, i seen Cole driving with his eyes on me through the rearview mirror. I quickly looked away but when i turned back around to look he was still staring at me this time with a big grin across his face. I looked away and kept my head down for the rest of the drive.

The car finally came to a stop and I heard all of the boys getting out and seen them walking inside. I have no idea what to do. Alex came around to my side of the car, he must've noticed it wasn't going to go in, "Come on let's go, we have the same first class i'll show you where it is," he told me. I looked up at him and smiled, at least i'm not going to be by myself all day. I got out of the car and we started to walk into the school, Cole passed us, "Have a good day New York," he said to me grinning. All of the other girls were looking at him and smiling, but he kept looking forward and ignoring them all.
