After what felt like an eternity Alex and I finally made it into class. It was hectic people running about everywhere shouting and laughing, I didn't know where to go, "you can come and sit beside me if you want, there's an empty table," Alex said to me. I looked at the table, smiled at him and headed toward it. Taking in everything around me there were a few girls giggling and whispering to their friends while staring at me, I'm used to it, I'm just happy to be able to go to school and get my diploma so I can do whatever I want for once.

Alex had his head in his book for a majority of the class but I noticed him looking up and staring at me every few minutes. After making it through first period the bell finally rang and I packed up my things, Alex wasn't in my next class but he showed me where to go to and told me good luck and then went to his class. I walked into my next class- Biology, one of the only things I was good at was science, I don't think I've ever failed a science class. I noticed a girl sitting at the back of the class with an empty seat beside her she was pretty with long blonde hair, and she looked like she spend hours on her makeup, how was she sitting by herself? I would've opted to sit by myself but there were no other empty seats. "Hi, do you mind if I sit here," I asked her, "Sure, I'm Isabella, you must be Delilah, right?" I was sort of freaked out, how did she know my name already I hadn't even been in this state for 24 hours, "Em yeah, how do you know my name," I asked her, "Oh everyone knows you at this point. The lucky girl who got to move in with The Cole Walter." "Is he popular or something around here I don't understand," "Popular? Cole Walter is probably the hottest guy in the entire school, every girl dreams of being with him. It's called the 'Cole Effect.'" Oh great, it was just my luck to be moved in with the most popular guy at school, I was hoping to be able to keep my head down this year and not be noticed much.

Me and Isabella talked for the rest of the period, the teacher wasn't in so there was no work set for us to do. I told her all about how I came from New York and she asked me what life was like living in the big city, so I explained to her how there's so many places and you always have somewhere to run to, it never really feels lonely in the city. She told me how she's lived here her whole life and she grew up with the Walter boys even though they don't speak much anymore. "You know I think you have a good chance of getting with Cole," she told me, I laughed, "Cole? You cannot be serious I don't want to get into a relationship with someone I might have to live with for the next year, anyways he's not really my type," I lied. We both laughed and she was in most of my next classes so I followed her, I think I might have made a new friend, she didn't even seem bitchy either, which is surprising because most pretty girls in New York are 2 faced.

It finally got to the end of the day and I headed out to the car, Cole was stood at the bonnet of the car with a group of cheerleaders around him. I rolled my eyes and got into the car with the rest of the boys, they must've been waiting on me I was the last one here. Cole finally finished up with the cheerleader and started the car, "How was your first day New York?" he asked me, "It was fine." I said. He looked at me through the rearview mirror and grinned, this time I didn't look away even though I desperately wanted to there was something so captivating in his eyes. We drove in comfortable silence for the rest of the drive home and I noticed Cole and Alex both glancing at me, more than what would be considered as normal, although Isaac and Lee were arguing in the back about a video call with their dad, I felt bad for Lee he seemed pretty upset.

We got back to the house and everyone raced out of the car, Lee looked like he was going to cry, I told myself I was going to check in on him later I thought that maybe he just needed someone who could understand what he was going through. I got out of the car eventually and Alex opened my door for me, "Thanks," I said to him. I said hello to Katherine when I got inside and she told me that she was going to some up and speak to me later, I smiled and ran up the stairs to my room. The door was open, I'm almost certain I closed it over this morning when I left but maybe I hadn't. I walked inside and I seen my belongings that were originally kept under my bed had been sprawled over my floor with my father's necklace that he gave to me before he died on my bed snapped in half. I fell to my knees.
