ℑ𝔫𝔳𝔦𝔰𝔦𝔟𝔩𝔢 𝔖𝔱𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 //𝔯𝔢𝔪𝔲𝔰 𝔏𝔲𝔭𝔦𝔫

𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚗𝚎

It was a normal day for camilla, atleast she thought it would be, she woke up just on time, which was a rare occurrence, today she actually got enough time to properly eat breakfast rather than grab an apple and run to the class that she was supposed to be in five minutes ago like she usually did, so she took her  good old time sitting at the breakfast table and eating breakfast.

After that she headed off to her class, she just got back from summer break and today was the first day back and she was going to start sixth year today , so she went through her first two classes and lunch smoothly without a struggle, but she should've known her day was going too smoothly.

Of course  , the potions professor wanted to suddenly change up the seating arrangements unlike before where people just sat with people who they wanted to sit next to. Of course

“ellie forrester and marlene McKinnon ” there went her only hope of being paired up with her best friend, oh god , she hated talking with new people.
“lily Evans and James Potter ”  lily looked like she wanted to jump off the astronomy tower meanwhile James looked like he had won the lottery. The professor continued reading names off his little scroll and casually ruining lives.

“and lastly camilla and remus lupin ” the professor announced. “these will be your seating arrangements and lab partners for the rest of the year ” her heart probably was on the ground flapping like a fish somewhere . It wasn't that she hated the boy ,it was quite the opposite actually and that was the problem as she was a very awkward person who was bad at socializing ,and she found remus lupin quite intimidating to talk to.She made eye contact with ellie who looked to be getting along with McKinnon already.

Camilla’s  eyes  hovered to her now lab partner who was already intently staring at her, she slowly walked over to the table along the back corner of the class and placed her bag down on the corner chair, he got up to let her inside and she sat, as today was the first class of the year, the professor just gave a rundown of last year's lessons so they had nothing to do except pretend to listen.

Her now lab partner and camila didn't utter a single word to each other like they both belonged to different nations and didn't speak each other's languages. They just sat awkwardly together. Well this was going to be an awkward year. It's not like she was good at filling the silence, if she opened her mouth now she would probably spew her entire life story out just to fill the silence and then regret it the entire year so she chose to keep her mouth shut.

As soon as the class was over. he just stood up and strode over to his friends James Potter and sirius black, the former was talking excitedly to sirius black probably about lily Evans, they both looked up to her lab partner who strode up to them with big smiles and started chatting away to him, lupin just nodded.

Ellie walks up to her with a big smile on her face, it was clear that she got along well with McKinnon. they seemed like they were cut from the same cloth . Ellie 
And camilla had a free period next so they both headed off to one of the trees they usually sit under in the lakeside.

When they got there, amara was already sitting there. She was frowning down at
Her notebook so she probably was sketching. With her gorgeous features, and  chiselled cheekbones that look like they were sculpted by the most talented sculptors, she definitely did look intimidating to some people. But when the Slytherin girl  sat in the same compartment as the two Hufflepuffs in second year, the three of them instantly hit it off, and became best of friends. Or that's what ellie liked to believe, it went more like ellie just ran up to them until they just became friends.

Ellie skips up to the Slytherin who was sketching and dropped her bag there and started to tell her about how her day had went. Amara was more interested in magical creatures and wanted to become a magizoologist so she picked care of magical creatures and decided to drop potions as she was not very interested in them.

Ellie starts  telling amara about the new potions seating arrangements, when she finally told amara about camilla being seated together with her long time crush, they both looked at her with knowing smiles.

“but seriously it's not gonna be that bad, it's way better than sitting with avery ” camila makes a face as she mentions the boy, being a muggleborn she has  encountered avery and his little gang multiple times and they definitely were not good encounters.because of her history with avery, amara and ellie despised him too  but unfortunately being in the same house as him amara has the displeasure of seeing him a lot. “wait seriously, that guy? Really? What does our professors  suddenly have against us ,blimey! ” camila asks with a grimace.

“more like you two, I'm perfectly content with being mckinnons partner thank you” ellie says , and  camila can see why she encountered the blond gryffindor girl a few times during matches and she is a sweetheart, so she thinks ellie got the better end of the stick. “enough about our partners, when are quidditch tryouts for you cam ”  amara asks  “are you going to try out this time?with what happened last year? ” ellie adds.

Camila thought about it for a while . Last year was a mess everything was going great until it just wasn't.

in the second last match between Slytherin and Hufflepuffs, the one that decided who'll be a step closer to the quidditch cup, the Slytherin beaters decided that they'd set camila up as their special throwing target that day and kept throwing bludgers her way after the first half of the game, Hufflepuff team's beaters  their best to fight them off, and so did camila .

But they couldn't just guard her the entire game and while she was occupied trying to throw a quaffle into the goal she got a Bludger thrown at her face, which she managed to just  narrowly miss, great right?

Well it was great until another came zooming at her and she wasn't as lucky as she was the last time, she lost balance due to the 149 pound bludger hitting her shin at 100 km/h something speed she almost fell on my back but was stopped mid air when she was five foot away from slamming her face straight onto the fields, the spell lasted for a few mere seconds and then  proceeded to make her fall on the fields a bit more gentler .

She still fell but rather than slamming into the ground face first at 100 km per hour and probably dying she fell a few feet and fractured her wrist due to falling on it and fractured her tibia bone due to a bludger hitting it and she had a  ugly bruise on her shoulder and had to stay in the hospital wing for a while and had to drink some potion that madam pomfrey gave which tasted just disgusting, but it was way better than sitting in the hospital for a few months

Her parents were needless to say very furious when a letter came stating that their daughter broke their leg playing some weird game where kids fly around on broomsticks.

Summer break was excruciatingly frustrating for camila , with her not being able to have fun  and her parents arguing with  her and each other every other day. She knew her parents never really liked her going to Hogwarts, she did know that they were scared that  she  was a “freak ” but hearing it constantly hurt her more than she liked to admit. She was extremely relieved when she got to go to amaras for a week, which her parents agreed to let me go after constant begging and reassuring that she'll be careful. They might just manage to come here and drag her ass back themselves if they heard she wanted to try out again.

“quidditch tryouts are saturday afternoon , but I don't know if I'm going to try out ” she replies  with a frown on her face.she  really wanted to, but she didn't want to cause a big fuss again. It's not like she's  that good at it that it would be a loss for her team, they'd probably find a much better player than her plus she probably won't get into the team again because she was partially the reason their team lost last time.  Camila sighs

and they continue talking until it was time for dinner , ellie heads to the dorms while she had to go do her prefect rounds she bid good night to both amara and ellie. She headed  to her dorm after her rounds and went to sleep.

It was a chaotic first day back.
