chapter four

“come on camilla, you can go faster than that ! ” the Hufflepuff quidditch team captain, william woods, yells at her from across the field. William happened to be very passionate about quidditch. And this year William was on a mission to win the quidditch cup as it was his final year of playing quidditch.

William was devastated last year, with what happened in the match. While the rest of the team was surrounding her in the hospital wing, oliver woods was nowhere to be found. When she asked the team where he was , their reply had something to do with William trying to drown himself in the showers. So he wanted to atleast win this year.

The last time Hufflepuff won was when camila just joined the team, but William wasn't the captain yet at that time so according to him it doesn't count. Camilla sighed and picked up her pace. It was definitely harder this year for her to play quidditch. The reason for that was her broom which, let's just say isn't the newest compared to the brooms of other people on team. She was using the same broom from third year which she bought from her entire savings and some money from her parents.

Her broom also has went through some damage last year, but it was fortunate that  professor McGonagall has managed to fix it by using  magic . If it weren't for that she wouldn't even be able to play this year. She would kill to have the new clean sweep 5 that William was sporting but she was stuck with her broom for now. Maybe she could buy  a new one next year by picking up a job somewhere this summer. Who was she kidding, these brooms were ridiculously expensive.

After practice, she washed up and went to have dinner.she was not that hungry so she ate only a little bit, She then went to do her prefect rounds. She didn't really know why she was made a prefect, sure she was at the top of her grade in Hufflepuff and tutored other  students if her professors asked ,but that was about it.She was the most awkward and unsocial being she knew.
If she counted all her friends on one hand, she'd have only three  fingers down - ellie ,amara and Sirius . Sure she talked to some people but that was only when she had to.

She doesn't even know how her , ellie and amara managed to become friends. Ellie was a little ball of sunshine, she was always so energetic and just social while amara was an objectively intimidating person, with her looks and her confident stride. Though camila and ellie met before amara and ellie did, and are in the same house, she feels like there's  just  a stronger  connection between amara and ellie while she just felt like she was just there.

She broke out of her thoughts and went to the hallway she usually just stays near to meet her patrolling partner.
She was expecting to see the quiet ravenclaw guy she usually patrolled with, but was shocked to see someone else. And of course that someone happened to be none other than remus lupin. He was standing awkwardly with his hands in his pockets of his gryffindor colored sweater.

When he saw her, he quickly walked up to her with a small smile on his face.  “professor McGonagall told me to substitute for your patrol partner as he was sick today ”  He explained to her after seeing her puzzled expression. She nodded in understanding, she wasn't really friends with her partner, archie campbell, as they both were quiet and preferred to not talk. Remus and camilla started walking together, patrolling the Corridors.

Camila struggled to keep up her pace with remus lupin who does not seem to be struggling at all ,striding along with his long legs . She was not too short standing at 5’7  but compared to remus lupin’s 6’ foot something, she felt like a dwarf. He noticed her struggling to keep up with his pace and slowed down a bit so she could catch up. she smiled at him, grateful that she doesn't have to fucking break into a run, because if she does she might just trip and fall in her current sleepy state.

They were walking side by side, with him now walking much slower for her sake . they both were awkwardly looking around and fiddling with their sleeves, well at least she was.
