chapter six

Camilla walked to detention after ditching her books in her dorm room , Atleast she had no practice today. It has been a while since she has been in detention . she was not a very confronting person so she did not get into many fights or caused much trouble .she just minded her business,not bothering anyone else ,barely handing in her assignments on time , going to practice .that was her life , and she liked it .it was peaceful , unlike the muggle school she went to .

By the time she got there Remus was already there , cleaning the dust off the shelves . when he noticed her coming over, he walked up to her with a hesitant smile ,his hands in his pockets .
“ Camilla ”  he greeted awkwardly , her name coming from his mouth was enough to make her get flustered .

“Remus ”  she greeted , imitating him. “so where do I start?”  she questioned ,he gestured to the shelves he was working on , she went and started clearing out the one next to the shelf he was already cleaning.

They both just sat in silence for a while ,neither speaking a word to each other before Remus' voice broke the silence . “Camilla ”  he said ,she turned to him and nodded ,indicating that she was listening. “ I just wanted to apologize ”  he said ,catching her offguard .

“ apologize for what? ” she questioned confused , because as far as she was concerned he did nothing except being devastatingly gorgeous. “for getting you into detention? Aren't you mad?” he said . she burst into laughter. After a minute or so ,she sobered up and stopped laughing.

“why would I be mad at you ? it wasn't even your fault ” she asked.

“ but it was my friends fault that you are stuck cleaning dust off some old trophies on a weekend " he said with a little frown on his face .

“ Remus , I have nothing better to do anyways, don't worry about it." She said ,reassuring him . after that , they went back to cleaning .

Finally after an hour or so , they were done with this stupid cleaning . “ I think we missed dinner ”  Remus said ,looking at his watch. "we did?”  she questioned. " Yeah , Its nine o clock" Camilla couldn't believe that they had been working for three hours already , well to be fair Remus and Camilla did procrastinate the whole time away by talking in middle but they didn't expect it to be this late already . Time just passed by quickly when they were talking and chatting.

" So, Since we already missed the dinner can I take you somewhere?" Camilla asked Remus as she got up from the floor she was sitting on. " take me where?" he asked , curiosity painted over his face.

" You'll find out when we get there , come on Remus" Camilla said , extending her hand out for him to take . he contemplates about it for a moment before finally giving in, taking her hand from his spot on the floor and getting up. She started dragging him away as soon as he got in with her.

“Camilla, where are we going? ” he asked as  They made their way down to the hufflepuff floor, before stopping near a portrait with a bowl of fruit in front of it. Camilla starts tickling the pear in a pattern as Remus was questioning her sanity. The portrait opening inwards quickly broke him out of his thoughts ,Camilla quickly dragged him inside the door . they were met with the sight of a gigantic high ceilinged room lit up with wooden torches and bustling with house elves running around the room. There were five gigantic tables around the room ,and as soon as they entered ,one small house elf came running to them exclaiming "miss Camilla! Miss Camilla!"

Camilla smiled warmly at the elf "Hello Tilly , How are you doing ?" the house elf , Tilly replies with a lot of enthusiasm in her voice " Tilly is doing fine! What can tilly do for miss today?"  tilly questions.

" We'll tell you in a bit tilly.” Camilla said with a smile,and tilly bounced away listening.Camilla takes Remus down to a quiet and cozy corner in the room and they both sat down ,their backs slumped against the wall. “ how did you even find the kitchens?we couldn't even find it” Remus asked Camilla , he and the rest of the marauders have tried but never managed to find it.

  “ Hufflepuff privilege, lupin  ” Camilla said with a shrug. “so what do you want to eat?” she asked him.

“ I'll just get whatever you get Camilla ” he said with a smile. Camilla nodded and waited for tilly to come over there again, which she did just about two minutes later. “has miss Camilla decided what she wants? ” tilly asked.

“ can we just get some sandwiches and some chocolate covered strawberries , tilly? ” Camilla asked. “tilly will get miss Camilla and Mr. Lupin their food in  a minute ” tilly said and quickly rushed away, getting to work. “chocolate covered strawberries? ” remus  questioned with a small smile on his face. “wait,you've never had them? ” she asked ,with an appalled expression . He nodded,making her even more appalled.

“well you're missing out,lupin . I like them a lot, I eat them almost everytime I come here, but I think you'll like . It's chocolate, you like chocolate. I Can't really go wrong with chocolate”

“yeah, can't go wrong with chocolate ”  he said with a smile and she swore she felt her heart melt into  a puddle. She didn't even know why she liked him, she just did. Everything about him exudes warmth and comfort. But she hated the fact that she knew so little about him. It didn't matter if he never liked her back, but she wanted to know him.

Their sandwiches and strawberries were delivered. And they started eating, after finally finishing the sandwiches. Remus
Picked up a strawberry, observing it before finally taking a bite. “so, what do you think? ” Camilla asked with an eager expression. He paused for a while before finally answering.

“I think you have an immaculate taste in both books and food, and that i need to hang out with you more often ” he said with a grin. Thank god,she couldn't physically blush cause if she could,she'd be bright red.

“ who knew all it'd take was some chocolate covered strawberries? ” camilla teasingly said with a grin replicating his. He started to laugh, and she joined in too. His laugh was just contagious.

Finally after a minute or two, their laughter finally stopped and just faded into quite chuckles. They continue eating the strawberries. Even after they were done eating , they Unspokenly agreed to just sit there for some more time and just do nothing. So they did just that.

The warm lighting from the torches made his eyes look so much brighter. His eyes were a light brown, and there were these  golden speckles around the rim of his eyes. It reminded her of sitting in the Hufflepuff common room around the fireplace.

Finally, remus broke their silence “it's almost near curfew, we should head back to our dorms now ” and got up.
He helped her up and they exit the kitchen after thanking tilly, the house elf.

“let me walk you back to the dorms, camilla ” Remus said after they exited the kitchen. She tried to refuse saying that her dorm wasn't too far away, but he insisted and she finally gave in with a sigh and letting him walk her back.

After a quiet walk back, they arrived in front of the hufflepuff common room “well I have to get going ,goodnight lupin ” camilla said and turned around walking to the door. But she turned back when she heard remus call her name “Goodnight, um see you in class monday ” he said with an awkward smile before walking away.

She walked inside the common room with a smile on her face to find ellie sitting there on a couch near the fireplace. She stood up and immediately walked up to her. “camilla, how come you're so late, it's almost curfew time? ”
Ellie questioned.

“ I guess there was just a lot of cleaning to do, anyways goodnight Ellie, I have to get up early tomorrow for practice!” camilla said,  concealing her smile and walking up to her room before she asked any more questions.

Camilla never thought she would actually looked forward going to potions class on a monday morning, but here she was.
