"I wan' ice-cream.." he pouted as he pushed the paddle of his small red and black bicycle, which his uncle gifted him when he came to visit last month.

The street was empty as almost all the time, and it was a pleasant evening. Soon he saw a car coming in front of him. The black car stopped in front of him and soon he saw it's doors opening and two men exiting the car. He had seen these handsome uncles many times but never talked to them.

"Love I'll carry all the bags, you carry our little muffin, is that okay with you?" Asked the taller man who was dressed in blue sweater and jeans.

"Hmm it's fine with me honey.. I am so excited to have this angel in our home, shower our sweet little muffin with all the love and care he deserves. I'm so happy to have him in our lives." said excitedly the man, who was slightly shorter than the other, looking inside the car with loving gaze.

Soon he bent as he leaned his upper body inside the car and soon he was standing back straight with a sleeping boy in his arms, who was now wrapping his arms around this uncle who was wearing peach colored hoodie and black jeans.

"Oh! hello little one.. How are you?" asked him the peach hoodie uncle with a sweet smile as he noticed him. Ahn-soo looked down feeling a little shy, he wasn't good with interaction with strangers.

"I'm good" he answered timidly. "That's good to hear little one. Look here is a new friend. His name is Ji Wook. I'm sure you two will be good friends." he said as he moved sideways to show the face of sleeping boy, who seemed to be same age as him most probably.

"Here is a chocolate for this little man." said the blue sweater uncle with a kind tone as he forwarded a chocolate in front of him. Ahn-soo looked at chocolate with shiny eyes.

He loved chocolates. He shyly raised his chubby hand to grab the sweet treat but flinched when he felt someone jerking him backwards. He looked back with wide eyes to see his own grandma.

"Stay away from my grandson." Ahn-soo heard bitter tone of his grandma towards the two handsome uncles. "I don't even want your disgusting shadow near my innocent child."

Before either of men could say anything she dragged the little chubby boy along with her. Both men looked at each other with disappointment.

"My angel, you are going to hear what halmoni is going to tell you. You are never going to talk to those men, okay." Little Ahn-soo heard his grandma's voice which was sweet unlike before. "Let's go to our diner now, my sweetpea."

It was now night, peaceful and relaxing, cool breeze and street lights and chirrupsounds.

Small chubby hand of Ahn-soo was held in his father's. They were walking to convenience store around the corner to get some ice-cream as per Ahn-soo's demand. Ahn-soo was blabbering about his day to his father, Lee Ju-Ahn who listened to his small talks with interest.

Ahn-soo talked about the cartoon he watched, the squirrel he saw on the tree, the yummy pancakes he ate in breakfast, the tasty jjajangmeon, samgyeopsal and chicken soup he ate in afternoon. He recited the rhymes he learned.

And somehow also told about how grandma scolded the two neighbor uncles in evening when they tried to give him chocolate and strictly prohibited him to talk to them. And Lee Ju-Ahn was not really shocked to hear that knowing his mother's hate toward the Choi-Min couple.

After returning from their small night walk, Ju-Ahn left Ahn-soo in the company of his wife, to tuck him in bed and himself decided to talk to his mother.

He knocked on the door of his mother's room knowing she must be awake and reading some cook book, and entered inside when he heard come in.

"Eomma!" he greeted his mother, as expected she was going through a cooking guide, she loved cooking and as she owned a diner, she always wanted to keep her menu best and refreshing and appetizing.

"Ju-ahnie, what brings you here?" she asked as she adjusted her reading glasses.

"Eomma, I heard you prohibited Ahn-soo from talking to Mr Choi and Mr Min. You shouldn't have when they were just being nice and-" he was cut off by harsh tone.

"I'll never let those sinners be near my pure and innocent Ahn-soo." She said with strict and hard tone.

"Eomma they are not-" he tried to say but his angry mother cuts him off again. "Don't you dare to argue on this matter again. I have already told you many times that I don't want them anywhere near my family but you and Jung-soo never listen to me. But I am warning you last time that if I saw those disgusting men near my grandson ever again I will take my grandson to my hometown. I don't want that disgusting mental disease effecting my pure Ahn-soo." she warned her son.

Ju-Ahn was never in favour of this narrow and backwards thinking but he knew it was useless to argue in front of his mother. He knew his mother was serious when she said she'll take Ahn-soo to her hometown.

So he sighed defeatedly. He didn't want to get separated from his son, nor he wanted his mother to leave this house so he decided to let it stay the way it was. Maybe in future things would change, he thought.
