Ahn-soo stared at the man in front of him. The honey tan skin was flushed red due to alcohol and cold, he could see dark circles under the eyes and lips pale and chapped. It was no doubt that this person was none other than Choi Jiwook. His brain was playing his childhood memories unconsciously while Ahn-soo decided to make Jiwook sleep in guest room. He thought how his childhood-self would have reacted if he gets still had that mindset.

Ignoring all thoughts he tried waking up the man but it didn't work. So he proceeded to lift the man to get him in sitting position before somehow getting him to guestroom. He bent down to lift the man but the mentioned man sat up abruptly on his own, his face twisted in a frown, soon his features contouring in expression of uneasiness and disgust.

"I'm gonna throw up." As he covered his mouth with his both hands, his long fingers crossed over his lips. Ahn-soo's eyes widen, he looked around in panic, his eyes went to kitchen and soon he fetched trashcan from the kitchen. Within few seconds Ahn-soo himself felt like throwing up when he heard the other man throwing up his gut out.

He walked to kitchen and warmed up some water, added honey in it before walking back. Jiwook was done with emptying his stomach. "Here drink some water. Don't drink it in rush, take small sips." he forwarded the glass in front of slumping figure who who made no move to hold the glass. Ahn-soo repeated his words, but the man in front of him was looking at the coffee table in daze. "You need to-" he was cut off in between by the deep and groggy voice of Jiwook. "Stay away." the deep voice was slurry and he wasn't looking at anything particular but Ahn-soo could see fresh tears forming in his eyes.

The man stood up and walked only to stumble on his feet and ready to kiss the floor but Ahn-soo was quick to hold him beforehead. He tried to yank away Ahn-soo but his body had no strength to do so. He looked at Ahn-soo, for the first time. His eyes filled with tears, tiredness and pain, his face was looking extremely pale now. To Ahn-soo, Jiwook looked different yet same as 9 years ago, with more mature, defined and sharp features. Even in his totally wasted and dejected condition, he looked handsome, even in this broken state. The messy brown hair sprawled in all directions also messily covering his forehead and eyes.

Back in school, everyone defined Jiwook as an adorable and cute kid, though he had no opinion that time, but if anyone would ask him now, he would say 'handsome'. And Ahn-soo had a gut feeling, that if this guy looked this handsome even in wasted and messed up state, he would look absolutely stunning in his sober self.

He was so lost his thoughts that he didn't noticed Jiwook plopped back on sofa. He was brought out of his thoughts when he heard muffled sobs and sniffles. He sat beside the weeping guy and hesitately raised his hand to rub Jiwook's back who was sobbing with his face hidden in his palms. He, actually, had no idea how to comfort someone in this state. He couldn't even understand what Jiwook was saying as his voice was muffled behind his hands, hiccups leaving his mouth every other second.

"Hey, you need to drink some water." Ahn-soo let out in small voice as he reached for the glass placed on the coffee table.

"Leave me alone, just go away." Ahn-soo bit his lower lip as he heard muffled words of Jiwook, which were as little harsh, followed by sobs and loud hiccups.

"Please calm down." He rubbed his back awkwardly. He wasn't someone who liked physical contact and specifically not with someone who wasn't he close with. But what else he was suppose to do? He realized the other guy was not even listening to him mumbling something like leave like everytime, like everyone, he didn't understand much by that. So he removed his hands from his face and made him drink water himself, thankfully he drank it this time, still sniffing and sobbing.
