Laying in bed, I thought. Thought about what, You may ask? One thing in particular. When will I be taken in? So many friends were taken away by loving families, so many families didn't want to look at me straight in the eyes, and I never knew why. I was alone. My soul hollow like the coffin with my name written on it, just waiting for me to climb in.

But then, as if a divine force heard my call for help, my current caretaker called out to me

- Y/n! I have a surprise for you! - He called out.

That man was always like a father to me. He did everything that a dad would do, and then some!

He led me to a room, and with one, confident move, he opened the door, where there were two young adults. One male, with pink eyes, short cut black hair, and the other female, with green eyes and long, wavy dark hair. Both of them were dressed in a rather official manner, but that is to be expected, considering the occasion.

- Y/n, those are the people that wish to be your parents, so they've come to talk to you about their decision, and get to know you so you feel comfortable in your new home!

I can still remember that feeling. That sudden fire of hope rekindled inside of me, that I will have a normal, loving, caring family. Heh.

Dad... I mean my caretaker left the room and I looked at my future parents. I was... Flabbergasted, to say the least. I looked down and put my arms together. I was so scared that I couldn't let a word out...

- They've told us that you don't like speaking. That's okay! We will just talk about ourselves. - The Lady said. - I'm Mrs. Graves and this is Mr. Graves - she pointed at the pink eyed man.

- Hello! - He smiled and waved at me

Mrs. Graves continued

- We live with two children, about your age. They're named Andrew and Ashley, but they call each other Andy and Leyley. We're in an apartment in the middle of the city, so you will never be far away from something.

After that, her words started to melt together in my mind. I was more focused on my thoughts. I will finally live a normal life! YES!

I started to cry as the emotions overwhelmed me. I wanted them! I needed them!

I ran over to Mrs. Graves and hugged deeply into her

- Oh! Is... Is everything alright?

Was she kidding me? It wasn't alright, it was amazing!

- Y-yes! I j-just... I want a family!

The four of us were hanging out in our old apartment that, excluding Julia, we lived in with our parents, but now with them gone, we decided to have a little socializing there. I wouldn't call it a party.

Suddenly, I felt Ashley's arms wrap around me. Her touch freezing me down to my core. I don't think I remember her ever doing this...
